mrv86 got a reaction from hckošice in Winter Youth Olympic Games 2020
I'm just glad a Mexican athlete will earn a medal in women's mixed team 3x3 hockey.
That would probably make her the first athlete from a Latin American NOC to earn a medal in a Winter Olympic Games

mrv86 reacted to phelps in Karate WKF Premier League 2020
no, she's currently 58th in the OQR...no chance for her to climb up so many positions in the standings...
her only shot at the Olympics is the global tournament in Paris next May, as it's a 1-day shot with 3 spots up for grabs for all who doesn't make it through the OQR (or the continental/host Nation places)...
basically, it's a true world championship, where the 3 medallists book their ticket to Tokyo 2020...

When they gather all their best players and train a little they are better than Chile.
Chile scheduled this match on the first day on purpose because they thought they would arrive unprepared like always, but this time they played several friendlies with Cuba.

mrv86 reacted to MHSN in Doping Cases and Bans 2020 Thread
Ajan is the main reason for corruption this is a common knowledge in Weightlifting community . people don't talk about it because almost all national WL federations made deals with him. he sold lots of World/Olympic medals to different countries.
that ARD report sounds correct to me. it fits with what i knew about IWF and Ajan himself. I give you guys some examples regarding Iranian WLers. these 3 examples are 100% confirmed for me, there are more stories though.
back in 2000 Olympics, 1999 World Champion and top favorite for the gold Shahin Nassirinia came to the stage, injured his arm in his first snatch attempt and left the competition. at the time it was just bad luck but later his teammates (and later himself) admitted that was fake, he was told by IWF to pull out, because IWF has "proofs" against the Iranian team (and specially Nassirinia) and will disqualify the whole team if he doesn't pull out ! it turned out IWF wanted their boy Pyrros Dymas to win his 3rd Olympic gold medal. Nassirinia never officially got suspended or even accused of doping. and Iran won two gold medals in the next days. (mostly because Nassirinia followed the order and let Dymas take that gold medal)
and in 2006, the whole Iranian team tested positive for doping except just one guy, Hossein Rezazadeh, he was double Olympic Champion and face of World Weightlifting at the time. simply the best weightlifter in the world at the time. IWF didn't want him to get caught. I heard from some of his teammates that someone else gave urine samples instead of him. obviously they were using the same drugs (thanks to the Bulgarian coach)
and one more example, back in 2009 in South Korea, the host nation didn't win a gold medal in men's weightlifting until the last day, they wanted that gold but there was an Iranian guy Saeid Alihosseini who had broken the WR in training and everybody knew he will win the gold. 2 days before the competition he was told to fake an injury during the training and leave South Korea because IWF found some evidences about his doping and if he leaves he won't get suspended. he did but still they suspended him. and that Korean guy who the gold medal. ironically that guy An Yong-Kwon never won any title (even continental) beside that gold medal !

Here’s our first official episode of TWU (Totallympics Weekly Update): https://anchor.fm/twu/episodes/TWU-2-Ending-Out-The-Year-With-Our-Best-Episode-Yet-e9t9tj
@Vojthas and myself really enjoyed this one, so please give it a listen whenever you get the chance (on your way to work, in morning, before bed, when you’re bored, when there aren’t enough sports on, etc.)
Again, we’d love any feedback you could give us. Also, any suggestions for what we should cover next week. Plus, any ideas for segments or episodes (or of you’d like to come on for an episode and talk with us about something).
Lastly, @Vojthas, @Dragon, and I cannot thank you enough for supporting us this year. Admittedly, it’s been a rocky start. However, with your support we’ve been able to build up an awesome website, and a great audio service. I’d also give thanks to @OlympicIRL and @mrv86 for their early contributions to Totallympics Media (and your both welcome back anytime ). Some more thanks are in order to users like @heywoodu @dcro @ChandlerMne @ahjfcshfghb @intoronto @Wumo @zob79 @TomJa @bmo @ofan @Griff88 @JoshMartini007 (and anyone else who I just unfortunately forgot) who give us constant feedback, consist support, and our the main reason we’ve made it this far. Of course, the man himself, @Sindo was deserves a massive, massive thanks for helping us accomplish all of this; without his work, none of us would have meant, we would have never had our own website, and we’d never have had a place to belong. 2019, was a fantastic, maddening, awesome, thrilling, joyously crazy, and thrill ride of a year. For all of us at Totallympics Media: Thank You all for your support and passion. We hope you have a wonderful, blessed, and sport-filled 2020.

There is nobody left in Group A, so it would go to the next best overall - Italy. Next in line are Slovakia and Estonia.
Seems like these 14 points that Miloserdova has on Bugan could prove to be very unfortunate for Slovakia...

I would call this rather as boycott than childish behaviour. Many of users doesn't wanted see bestmen as host of the TISC, as he showed many times his childish behaviour before, during and after contest, such people doesn't deserve host such big event like TISC is....

Here’s a recap of the bronze medal race:
attempt 1: start gate failure
attempt 2: start gate failure
attempt 3: start gate failure
ruled winner by DSQ (even though Mexico had proved they could start properly on attempt 2 when Brazil couldn’t)
Gold Medal Race also had 2 start gate failures. Team Pursuit, and women’s races were also plagued by start gate failures. The volunteers had no fucking idea what they were doing, and it was obviously the federation had not trained them to use the equipment. In fact, members of the Peruvian federation seemed confused about the start gate as well.
