In fact, I prefer this format for the team event. It allows each diver to perform better in their "individual" event. In the past, when it wasn't rare for divers to compete both in springboard and platform, the format used at World Championships could have worked, but now most medal contenders focus in one or the other. Nowadays only Woo Haram and Schleiker perform both springboard and platform, and I can't recall a competitive woman that does both.

What's sad is the unnecessary, loss of people, whether American or Mexican, due to no gun control. In the past they have signed more expert comentators, like in FIH's Hockey Series or 2018 CAC Games, I'm amazed why this time they opted to hire foreign comentators with little knowledge of the disciplines. I've not heard a single Mexican comentator, instead Spaniards, and one of each, Argentina, Cuba & Venezuela.
