  1. He isn't... he speaks against neoliberalism, yet he maintains most of the original cabinet members that were greatly responsible for the 1994-1997 economic crisis known as "Tequila Effect". The problem is he has qualified majority in both chambers of the Congress, plus most of the states' congresses, so he's basically free to reform the constitution anyway he and his gang wants. He started by creating a new paramilitary force, under the guise of a "Civil Guard" but most of the elements were soldiers already dismissed from the army or from the local police corps. Just last week they captured 4 of those elements as part of a group kidnappers. I could rant all day long, but there's no point in that. Let's just say I'm glad I knew a more less "stable" "free" & "democratic" country, where not everything was violence, corruption and dictatorship.
  2. Very impressive Brazil Way to correct a routine. Only a couple of "dirty" catches, but that's nothing, so they have put the bar way up for any other.
  3. US totally lost the direction in the 3x2 apparatus final Chance for Canada and/or Cuba to be on podium.
  4. And this should be medal for Barbara Domingos @thiago_simoes I love her ribbon routine. It's so lively and joyful. All through the mat, very nice catches... only two really tiny errors, but she's in the podium.
  5. I know, only "minor" errors in her routine. This was always her best apparatus. I'm glad she manages to get a medal here. But poor Uchida... ribbon seems to have a curse for Canadian rhythmic gymnasts.
  6. It is most probably they do; but given that competitions are taken place in a site different from Lima and the common inacurracies in the results system you never know for sure.
  7. Most probably... guess they will have to find another qualifying competition for Tokyo, if tomorrow all competitions are again postponed.
  8. Well, I usually don't look at those times, since they're often not accurrate. But let's say the third set was a one man show.
  9. Well, then it's up to the coaches in the Italian team to start prepping up the mix synchro, which is by far one of the hardest things to do, but they could do it.
  10. Well, in reality only Brazil and Cuba could take the ticket from them, and only in the best day for either team.
  11. In South Korea's defense, they faced much tougher teams. Plus, probably Canada and USA decided to rest some of their team and take some alternates to Lima.
  12. In fact, I prefer this format for the team event. It allows each diver to perform better in their "individual" event. In the past, when it wasn't rare for divers to compete both in springboard and platform, the format used at World Championships could have worked, but now most medal contenders focus in one or the other. Nowadays only Woo Haram and Schleiker perform both springboard and platform, and I can't recall a competitive woman that does both.
  13. That's one of our many big problems. Mexico is a failed state, as hard as it is to say it. And mark my words, if the party in government isn't expelled in the middle term elections, then you're seeing another Venezuela, only this time 6 times bigger.
  14. Lesson number one in Latin American politics: there's no true right or left, just crooks. AMLO says he's socialist, but in reality he married a woman from the upper class, lives in luxury just like his sons, one of whom is now "married" to a former Miss Universe and live in Madrid. There was never socialism, just tirans and crooks exploiting the concept for their own benefit, like the Castro family in Cuba.
  15. It's a populist movement to fool the masses, as the Mexican president has lost almost half his popularity in less than a year. In reality our foreign minister was the one who 28 years ago, sold our country in exchange for NAFTA and now, under the veil, is nothing but Kushner's puppet in Mexico. What's sad is the unnecessary, loss of people, whether American or Mexican, due to no gun control. But I'm sure I'll be long dead before the US Congress or Supreme Court will do something about it, based on "civil liberties"
  16. Mexico's Still, that was a great demonstration of power and skill by Argentina. Tomorrow's final should be quite interesting.
  17. Well then we should submit our CV's for Tokyo. I bet we will do a better job doing it. Or maybe then, Totallympics Media could have a generous sponsor, so as many of us could do a live broadcast from the venue
  18. Quintero & Gaviria in Madison? I've tought Arango rather than Quintero.
  19. In the past they have signed more expert comentators, like in FIH's Hockey Series or 2018 CAC Games, I'm amazed why this time they opted to hire foreign comentators with little knowledge of the disciplines. I've not heard a single Mexican comentator, instead Spaniards, and one of each, Argentina, Cuba & Venezuela.
  20. Well he really gave a great show in the last two laps, when he took control of that race
  21. Those were 7.5 at least, so gold for Canada.
  22. It's gold for Canada, unless they too crumble, which I really doubt. @intoronto Marca Claro comentators is saying Canada can't surpass that failure
  23. Only in execution... that should be 7.5 jumps for both. Synchro was fine.
  24. Awful bomb. They must be grateful only 4 teams are competing and one of them is Cuba.
