  1. They should be safe for 2 quotas on both the men's and women's side - but it will be tight. For the men, GB are currently in 7th place but will drop below USA when the points from Mairipora are added in. GB have about 350 point cushion over 9th placed Denmark and 10th placed Brazil so if Aldridge and Orr can have steady results in the next couple of races, then they should be able to do enough to stay ahead of both countries. Not sure what Pidcock's schedule is for this season, but he has traditionally competed in Nove Mesto towards the end of May - if he does that again this year, then it would definitely make it easier to keep those 2 individual quotas. For the women, it basically comes down to Evie Richards vs Anna Henderson of Australia and at the moment in the head-to-head, Richards comes out on top. GB currently have 500 point cushion and that will increase slightly after this weekend's action is taken into account.
  2. The PanAmerican BMX Racing Champs took place this weekend and with Mariana Pajon taking the title, Colombia have picked up over 400 additional ranking points. GB are now likely to trail Colombia by about 800 points. If that gap is going to be closed, I think realistically, Shriever will need to win at least one of the next 2 World Cups.
  3. American Continental Championship - Bogota Men's Elite: 1.) Diego Arboleda Ospina 2.) Federico Villegas 3.) Santiago Suarez Women's Elite: 1.) Mariana Pajon 2.) Lexus Colby 3.) Daleny Vaughn
  4. By my calculation, I think it will go to Egypt - Algeria needed to finish 21st in order to gain enough points to overtake Egypt and they came up just short in 22nd.
  5. Been out of action for most of the weekend so not had a chance to go through all of the results yet but it looks like it has been a good weekend for the athletes with OQT for Cindy Sember (12.57) and Amber Anning (50.08) at the Tom Jones Memorial. On a less positive note, Matt Hudson-Smith was DNF in his race at the same event but then again, I think he pulled up in a couple of races last year and was still able to pull it out of the bag when it mattered.
  6. It seems Bianca Cook hasn't given up on getting to Paris and will be representing going forward. By making the switch, it seems she will be eligible to compete at the European Champs with an ultimate goal of being able to do enough to persuade the selectors to pick her over Rebecca McGowan.
  7. UEC BMX European Cup - Round 6: Benatky nad Jizerou Men's Elite: 1.) Ruben Gommers 2.) Stefan Heil 3.) Julian Schmidt Women's Elite: 1.) Judy Baauw 2.) Indy Scheepers 3.) Eliska Bartunkova
  8. UEC BMX European Cup - Round 5: Benatky nad Jizerou Men's Elite: 1.) Ruben Gommers 2.) Eddy Clerte 3.) Tim Goossens Women's Elite: 1.) Judy Baauw 2.) Michelle Wissing 3.) Indy Scheepers
  9. IFSC World Cup: Lead - Wujiang Men's Final: 1.) Toby Roberts - 36+ 2.) Taisei Homma - 36+ 3.) Sorato Anraku - 32+ 4.) Zento Murashita - 24+ 5.) Sascha Lehmann - 24 6.) Hannes Van Duysen - 24 7.) Shuta Tanaka - 23+ 8.) Max Milne - 23+ 9.) Shion Omata - 21
  10. IFSC World Cup: Speed - Wujiang Men's Speed Final: Peng Wu (4.91) def. Samuel Watson (5.11) Men's Speed Small Final: Kiromal Katibin (5.07) def. Ludovico Fossali (5.16) Women's Speed Final: Aleksandra Miroslaw (6.24) def. Natalia Kalucka (6.75) Women's Speed Small Final: Jeong Jimin (6.62) def. Aleksandra Kalucka (8.93)
  11. IFSC World Cup: Lead - Wujiang Women's Final: 1.) Janja Garnbret - TOP 2.) Luo Zhilu - 44+ 3.) Seo Chaehyun - 43+ 4.) Natsuki Tanii - 40 5.) Erin McNeice - 39 6.) Laura Rogora - 34+ 7.) Natsumi Oda - 34+ 8.) Mia Krampl - 34+ Garnbret showing she will take some beating in Paris after dominating the boulder competition last week, she topped every route this weekend.
  12. Storm Hunter ruptured her Achilles tendon on Thursday and will be out for 4-6 months.
  13. Round 1 match ups: v v v v
  14. They put in a 43.8 and have finished behind . They'll make the top-8 but only because had an even worse result.
  15. Points are awarded based on final placing. NOCs need to get into top 8 to progress to next round though
  16. Women's Team Sprint round 1 match-ups: v v v v
  17. Yes - the Tissot site is down but the UCI site was still working. qualify as 2nd fastest whilst were down in 6th
  18. Eyes down for the big races - qualifying for team sprints with Olympic quotas on the line.
  19. 4 seconds faster than the rest of the field. They'll race against in round 1. were second and will ride against the other first round match-ups are v and v
  20. Great qualifying run from with a 03:47.097. That's going to take some beating in this field but probably would be 3rd/4th at an Olympics if the times from Tokyo are anything to go by.
  21. CORRECTION: After a great spot from @Adriano, need to make a couple of changes Women's Endurance events Women's Team Pursuit: Confirmed Quotas: Women's Madison: Confirmed Quotas from Team Pursuit: Safe Individual Quotas: Missed out Denmark from initial post who are actually the safes of all the individual quotas! Anyhow, net effect is that there should be no contested quotas in the event. Women's Omnium: Confirmed Quotas from Team Pursuit: Expected Quotas from Madison: Safe Individual Quotas: Continental Quota: Contested Quotas: - 2015.50 ----------------- - 1854.50 Czechia have quite a high bar in order for them to be able to increase their points total as they would need to finish 9th or better but it's not any easier for Spain because although they have a lower discard score, in order to be able to overtake Czechia they would need to finish at least 10th. Czechia should therefore be safe for the final quota.
  22. Bello brothers can't seem to get away from the Cuban pairing of Diaz & Alayo - they've been draw in the same group after losing out to them in the round of 18 last week and in the semi-final the week before.
  23. 2024 Tissot UCI Track nations Cup - Milton | Schedule | Tissot Timing
  24. Will be interesting to see how men go in the team pursuit qualifying given their starting position of 7th from 12. They'll need to put down a really solid time to get a top 2 position for round 1.
