  1. That's a shame. I was hoping his injuries wouldn't prevent him from competing in Paris.
  2. His son is married to Lena Häcki. A logical move. He already worked with the Swiss a lot this season giving them advice and such. I assume his son will join him as a wax man. Will be interesting to see how Lena does next season.
  3. Regarding decathlon, will Mayer compete in Paris? I haven't seen or heard anything about him recently.
  4. It's been confirmed a while ago. She was already working for them as an expert in the past biathlon season.
  5. Woah, we lost to SK. Such a surprise...not. Our guys looked tired, slow, without energy. They were provoking their players just so that the pause would last a few seconds longer. Whoever thought it was a bright idea to play France 2x in the days before deserves a medal.
  6. Honestly Čeh should throw his disc from the Planica hill.
  7. New women world record by Opseth with 230.5m!
  8. Maybe he'll switch disciplines like Roglič or Lampič
  9. Well his new coach (Mart Olman) is her old hammer throwing coach
  10. Rumor is that his girlfriend is the cause. It was her fault that he split with his first coach (because he didn't want her to be present during training, and she wasn't having it so Čeh decided a few weeks before OG to break their contract), and she was the one that introduced him to Kanter.
  11. Kristjan Čeh and Kanter part ways. This is the 2nd time that Čeh has "lost" his coach in an Olympic season. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't medal again.
  12. 2-year cycle worked. There is no need to have worlds every year. As some said already it devalues the whole thing. What world athletics should have done is revamp the whole diamond, golden, silver, bronze league system.
  13. 2004 had Wade, James, Duncan, Iverson, Anthony, Stoudemire... It was stacked.
  14. Tande had a fall in the qualifications. Looks like he hurt his knee as he needed help from two medical people. But the good news is he was still able to walk away. Hopefully he's fine.
  15. I'll be shocked if anyone breaks the Čeh-Stahl-Alekna trio this season.
  16. There's a reason people say it's harder to win the european championships than the world championship or the Olympics.
  17. To be fair I think there are at least 10 nations that can medal in the single mixed relay. This season we finished 5s of the podium. Last year I think Latvia finished 3rd in one of the races. Swiss always do well, Austria won silver last season... It's much more competitive than say Mixed Relay or normal relays.
  18. I agree that the Volleyball team should have won the team award. Medals > Qualifying. I have to say that I was a bit surprised Dončić came in 3rd. I expected either Zajc or Savšek to come 3rd. The women's side was probably the most predictable in years.
  19. Slovenia: Men: 1. Tadej Pogačar (Cycling) 267 Points 2. Primož Roglič (Cycling) 166 Points 3. Luka Dončić (Basketball) 101 Points Women: 1. Janja Garnbret (Climbing) 336 Points 2. Tina Šutej (Athletics) 107 Points 3. Andreja Leški (Judo) 75 Points Team: 1. National Football Team (Male) 44 Points 2. National Volleyball Team (Male) 41 Points 3. Ski Jumping Team (Male) 21 Points
  20. Looking at the ages of these dudes, I say this is a proper boomer sport. Our youngest is 32 years old Future is bright.
  21. Just one of those days on the range for Fak today.
  22. Equipment rules (specifically bindings and their height), which coincidently our guys were using prior to the OG 2022, but were then instantly banned overnight. Ban on fluor in ski wax Safety straps are now mandatory New jersey rules and measurement equipment Some of the new rules are explained here. Most of our team both men and women have been critical of the new rules, even the coaches. E: Here's is an article in slovenian. In it you have Granerud saying that he got injured because of the new rules in the summer.
  23. Seems like Germans and Austrians really benefited from the rules change. Everyone is like 2 steps behind them.
