Tentoglou taking no prisoners

She was injured in training on Sunday. While gripping a stick, her upper arm slipped and the tip of the stick got caught in a muscle in her arm. The impact left her with a torn muscle in her arm. She came to Rome to compete for medals, but had to cancel.

I really don't like this new qualification based on time. You can win your heat and still not qualify. What if the wind changes and allows another heat better conditions? At the very least the winner and the 2nd place should automatically get a Q.

At this rate Čeh will struggle to qualify to the final in the OG. He's going from bad to worse. Another Olympic year ruined because he listens to his woman rather than people who know the sport. He was steadily improving under Kanter and now he can't even throw over 68m anymore. Such a shame that his talent is being squashed this way. But hey, at least he got one world title and a few diamond leagues out of it.

Leja Glojnarič who won bronze in heptathlon, became the first deaf person to win a medal in the Balkan Championships.

That's a shame. I was hoping his injuries wouldn't prevent him from competing in Paris.

His son is married to Lena Häcki. A logical move. He already worked with the Swiss a lot this season giving them advice and such. I assume his son will join him as a wax man. Will be interesting to see how Lena does next season.

Regarding decathlon, will Mayer compete in Paris? I haven't seen or heard anything about him recently.

It's been confirmed a while ago. She was already working for them as an expert in the past biathlon season.

Woah, we lost to SK. Such a surprise...not. Our guys looked tired, slow, without energy. They were provoking their players just so that the pause would last a few seconds longer. Whoever thought it was a bright idea to play France 2x in the days before deserves a medal. -

Rumor is that his girlfriend is the cause. It was her fault that he split with his first coach (because he didn't want her to be present during training, and she wasn't having it so Čeh decided a few weeks before OG to break their contract), and she was the one that introduced him to Kanter.

Kristjan Čeh and Kanter part ways. This is the 2nd time that Čeh has "lost" his coach in an Olympic season. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't medal again.

2-year cycle worked. There is no need to have worlds every year. As some said already it devalues the whole thing. What world athletics should have done is revamp the whole diamond, golden, silver, bronze league system.

Tande had a fall in the qualifications. Looks like he hurt his knee as he needed help from two medical people. But the good news is he was still able to walk away. Hopefully he's fine.

There's a reason people say it's harder to win the european championships than the world championship or the Olympics.

To be fair I think there are at least 10 nations that can medal in the single mixed relay. This season we finished 5s of the podium. Last year I think Latvia finished 3rd in one of the races. Swiss always do well, Austria won silver last season... It's much more competitive than say Mixed Relay or normal relays.
