    After the way Angola played against France in the opening match, I was afraid that they would be too strong for our girls. Despite so many mistakes we managed to win quite easily in the end. The goal in now reached. Anything more will be a bonus.

    I don't see it. Especially as it's very likely both Roglič and Pogačar will focus on the TDF. And the rest of the team is too weak to support someone like Mohorič.

    Rankings come into play after June 2024. A lot of games until then (whole nations league). There's only 5 open spots. 1 will go to Africa, 1 will go to Italy/Brazil as they are far too ahead in the rankings, which leaves only 3 empty spots. If they allow Russia back that will likely take one more spot as their ranking is frozen. I dunno if Oceania gets 1 spot, but they could take one as well. Which leaves only 1 empty spot and considering how tight rankings are around us, I don't see us taking it.

    Looks like it's over for us. Our golden generation, who won 4 medals at the last 5 European Championships will retire without ever participating at the Olympics. This has to be the first time such a strong team missed out on Olympics so many times similar to Italy in football which hasn't participated in the last two world cups.

    Our commentators have just said that they want to bring cross-country back as a discipline in athletics in Los Angeles 2028.

    I really don't like Coe as the leader of the athletic association. It's a shame there's nobody who even dares to challenge him. I think with him in charge athletics have regressed. He has some good ideas but for some reason he only implements the bad ones like cutting the 50k race walk. I he cuts "less" popular events (let's be real he's talking about field events), then I suspect this could go down the way where we see two different championships one day. One for track and one for field events.

    So many field events being decided in the last few attempts. Shame the general public only sees track action, as the focus on these events is almost like the people in charge would like to get rid of them.

    She jumped 6.93 twice! Looks to be in good form. If it is a femur injury that likely means she's out of the World Championships.

    Unironically Ineos should sign him. Give him a very lax plan for next season, only riding a few races here and there. Then bring him to the tour.
