Our guys joked after the match that Neymar and Messi had a conversation before their matches. Neymar said "we're playing Croatia today", and Messi responded, "interesting, we're playing them on tuesday"

Decent shooting performance from our guys. 4 managed to qualify for the pursuit. But the double lap between shoots showed how far they still are in the ski speed compared with the best.

Imo, Kubacki would have won today, if he had some luck in the first round with the wind. It was his worst jump of the season. Very happy with Lanišek getting his 3rd victory of his career. I hope he can carry the momentum all the way to Planica.

Man Eva Urevc fell off. Perhaps she should also make a switch to biathlon like Anamarija did. -
She's in Hochfilzen and will start in the relay. So far Živa is ahead of her in the running order. But she will no doubt get her chance this year. If not sooner than in Pokljuka at the very least.

Speaking of nearly misses. Bauer's 4th place in 2010 still haunts me. I still think if he got that bronze instead of Fak, he would have made a much bigger career. It always felt like that wooden medal broke him. He's an excellent commentator though.

Anamarija Lampič is confirmed to start the sprint in Hochfilzn this week. Let's see how it turns out. I recon she can get points if she has a decent shoot. Say seven out of ten.

Important win against Croatia. It's always nice to win against neighbours. Hopefully they do it against Hungary too.

Nice to see some vintage ski jumping nations such as Fins and Czechs there. Hopefully they regain something and come back one day

Important win against Denmark. Next up is Sweden. Hopefully this wasn't the usual first round upset that our ladies are known for and that they will continue with this form. The expectations are 1/4 finals. This win really helps.

Poor Anja Osterman was full of mixed emotions after the 500m kayak final today. First she thought she won the bronze medal, but they then ruled that she was 0.003s slower than Emma Jorgensen. She couldn't believe it. Then just a minute before the ceremony the judges overturned the results again this time giving both women the bronze medal. She almost came to the presentation in her racing gear
