Thanks for the reply. Information is hard to get here, as our national TV bought the rights to these games, but doesn't show any sport live, only a few select ones that garner interest. I wouldn't have even known we had a team in this final had I not checked the official site. It's really bad since everything is live on youtube, but we can't watch because out national tv has the rights (bought with tax payer money)...

Why were only two medals awarded? Is it based on time gaps? Seems a bit unfair since only 3 nations showed up.

A member of the Slovenian national team in cross-country skiing - 19-year-old Hana Mazi Jamnik - died in a tragic accident during a training session in Norway, the Skiing Association of Slovenia announced. A truck crashed into Kranjčanka shortly before 9 a.m. during skateboarding training in the Botshei tunnel on the road between Forsand and Joerpeland. As reported by Sportal, the victim was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Stavanger, but doctors were unable to save her life. Last year, Hana Mazi Jamnik won the title of world junior champion in skateboarding in Val di Fiemme in skating technique. Amazing run by Guček to finish second. He broke a new NR too! The one that stood for over 42 years!. Looks like the new crop of our athletes might have the potential to be our golden generation. With Sadek, Duhovnik, Tomassini, Guček, both hammer throwers, Apostolovski and even Čeh our future in athletics looks bright. And to think after Kozmus we thought we would never get a medal again.

Meanwhile I have all the confidence in Čeh to bring it home

Jan Duhovnik (translates to Priest) is doing great. I can't remember the last time we had a half decent decathlete. I really hope he makes it to the seniors. A top 5 finish should secure him the funding. At least until Paris.

Maybe so, but you can't compare a one day race with a 21 stage race, especially 3rd week performances when everybody is dead tired. Going above 6W/KG is insane at that point. We will see what Remco can do in Vuelta.

Was finally able to see the Čeh throw because of work. Amazing performance. Him and Alekna can dominate for a decade. I fear this is the beginning of the end for the swedish viking though. Or perhaps this can push him towards new heights.

5 medals for us in the end. 2 in climbing, 2 in ju-jitsu and 1 in gymnastics. That's one less than 5 years ago, but this time we take home gold.

Sad for Tentoglou. I thought he had it with 8.32m, but Wang came out of nowhere in that last round.

Is there any site where I can watch repays of full competitions? So far I missed Šutej (pole vault), Filipić (triple jump) and Apostolovski (high jump).

What I hate from my country acquiring rights to these championships is that they never show the whole competition. They always cut to go to commercials in the middle and they keep the usual feed from the organisers. I never get to see dedicated feeds from say pole vault or long jump. Worse thing is they don't even put them online. They just copy what they showed on tv and put it as a replay.

I really hope tomorrows stage is boring, because I have to work until 6pm.

So apparently yesterdays handball game between Slovenia and Serbia was delayed by over 5 hours due to the fact that the referees went missing.

Same thing happened to a lot of handball players during the Egypt world championships.

The best volleyball players are currently participating in the nations league.
