  19. I remember watching Tentoglou win gold as a young athlete, 20 years old, at the 2018 European Championships and the 2019 European Indoor Championships with such excitement. Now we expect the gold and anything less is a massive disappointment I've noticed this with many other sports/athletes who I support, it's more fun watching them rise, once they get to the top it's not as interesting.

  31. "Fair play to the officials, they have certainly shown discretion", talking about the false starts not resulting in DQ's. I mean, personally I find it great, because I absolutely hate the rule where one false start is an immediate DQ, but...isn't a false start supposed to be a DQ? It either is or isn't a false start

  40. I can also name Suriano, Spencer Lee, Daton Fix etc. USA has 4 or 5 wrestlers better than this guy at 57kg. but he won the trials last year and per their rules he had the right to wrestle here, the other could challenge him but didn't want to, they probably thought that's useless to tire themselves, let him winning the quota. we will beat him at the trials. US usually underestimates the Pan-Am qualifiers. I mean they should had their trials before this event but they want their trials to be something special, calling it "Final X" in all 6 Olympic weights. it will be hard for anybody who wins the trials to cut weight again in 3 weeks and go to the last chance qualifier in Turkey. btw most of wrestling nations won't send the same guy twice. I mean if any of our guys fail to qualify in Asia, his chance is gone and the next guy in line will take his place.

  42. @Cinnamon Bun what do you mean “as per usual” the gap between and in women’s water polo is quite noticiable The difference between Canada and Great Britain in women’s water polo is that Canada is capable of upsetting a medal contending team at the Olympics (ex. Greece, Hungary, and Italy. Don’t think Canada has a chance against Netherlands, Spain, and United States) and qualifying for the quarterfinals while for Great Britain it would about damage limitation (unless they face South Africa, which would be an easy win for them) Great Britain are trending in the right direction though, that win against Israel at the European Championships was HUGE for them. Definitely wouldn’t have expected them to win it.

  46. Sienna Harvey takes 1st place in the women's junior event at the Vaucluse Provence. More importantly, she also picks up 25 ranking points and we start to chip away at Colombia's advantage. Hopefully she can repeat the performance tomorrow and is planning on taking part in some of the upcoming European Cup events.

And another Bronze Medal for Mexico, Gabriela Agundez and Alejandra Orozco took bronze in the 10m Synchro. They keep the good results, no lower than 4th place at major competitions. Though I will keep an eye out for the North Koreans in Paris who will be a threat for a medal given the spectacular show they gave in Doha wining silver and the olympic quota with dives almost chinese caliber.
