  1. wow , that was unexpected it's sometimes possible to get a lucky win but that was a well deserved win, Iran totally dominated the 2nd half and had so many chances. yeah this is football. nothing is impossible. our worst players in previous matches did great today, Mohebbi scored the first goal and Kanaani got the last minute penalty.

  5. Wow Sharon van Rouwendaal does it again! By far the most underrated athlete in the Netherlands, but such a nice person. After all her Olympic medals (gold in Rio, silver in Tokyo), World titles and European titles, this title is once again more than deserved.

Lynda Kiejko won gold at the Intershoot event in the Netherlands, she scored 576 in qualifying (for the 10m air pistol event), and her finals score would have won gold at the Pan Am Games... Elizabeth Gustafson won silver, with a qualifying score of 549, and her finals score tied the Pan Am Games gold score. In the men's event, Michele Esercitato placed 7th with a qualifying score of 575

  10. We are leading 2-0 against after Day 1! Tsitsipas won 6-3 6-4 over Copil Once again, our number two player Stefanos Sakellaridis is not playing for the national team. So actually our 8th highest ranked player, Aristotelis Thanos (number 1433) got the chance to play against Ionel (no. 265). Thanos actually won 4-6 6-3 6-2! Thanos must be similar to your Molcan @hckošice (but obviously a much lesser version), because he does nothing in other tournaments but is somehow 3-0 in Davis Cup singles matches, all times against opponents ranked much higher than him (last year he won vs no. 564 from Ecuador and the year before vs. a guy from Jamaica who was then 1130 but now 319). He is 22 yo, so not that young, but maybe he can improve a lot in the next few years and at least make the top 500 or so. You don't win three big Davis Cup singles matches by accident... So now tomorrow should be easier, we can probably rest Stefanos in doubles and have him focus on his singles match where he can clinch the victory for us. Also the venue this time was the Ano Liossia Olympic Hall, which was built in 2004 and hosted judo and wrestling at the Olympics. It was not used much since then for various reasons (it is not very close to the city centre and not easily accessible by public transportation), but the arena is now used by AEK BC (one of our biggest clubs and Tsitsipas' personal favourite team) for the past few years and our national basketball team has played some games there recently. So now we played at home the last three times in Davis Cup, and at three different iconic venues (though this one was the least famous of the three). However I think it would be nice if they played in other cities too. Greece is not just Athens and my Thessaloniki deserves some of these events too

  17. 3rd time 5th Time a charm... After 4 consecutive Play-Offs Losses won a play-off match and qualify for the first time (under this new format) to the finals. And it was a team including Molčan... go and figure... Molčan the biggest anomaly of world tennis, when playing for himself and money at individual level is just terrible but when he plays for his country for nothing he turn on a sort of unbeatable machine... Anyway. After 4 years of failures in the last step, this time we made it.

  19. Had to do some research to figure this one out. The first tie breaker you have to remove the DD (Degree of Difficulty) scores, and the athlete with the better recalculated score receives the better rank. Since both Vinecki and Scott did a a back double full-full, it went to a second tiebreaker. The second tiebreaker was whichever athlete has the better air and form score. Vinecki scored 5.20 and 10.30, compared to 5.20 and 10.20 hence why she got the gold medal.

  20. Ok then! I read somewhere that you could include remakes of old songs with the condition that the remake song should have been released during 2023. Anyway it's fine! I'm posting another song.

  21. Finally, it's time for the first medal event of these championships! Certainly, all eyes will be on Platanioti, seeking her first world gold. After many disappointments and a few stolen medals, it would be a truly fitting culmination for her. Also in the medal mix are Alexandri, Simoneau, and Xu. In the opening group, the weaker one in terms of placements, keep an eye on Steenbeek and Hoevertzs; I expect two really interesting routines.

  22. The Netherlands will be represented by a song which, if everything goes according to plan in the next two years, will be one of the two last songs a certain Totallympian will play in her earphones during the last bit of warmup before finally making her Olympic debut in Cortina d'Ampezzo 2026 SERA - Head Held High Poured my heart into a crowd Didn't lift me up, just pulled me down Now I'm dancing on my own (hmm) Fingertips are getting numb Overthinking everything I've done No more numbers in my phone Oh, I used to think that they were right On my side, they wouldn't lie So done with that D-done with that Talking shit behind my back Build a castle made of glass So done with that (D-done with that) I'm a fire burning on I do what the hell I want Middle finger to the sky With my head held high I am fearless, I am strong Watch me rise along the dawn Ain't no stopping me this time Got my head held high I was born to be alive No more crying here tonight I will never be this young (hmm) Kill the darkness in my mind Grind the blade and raise the knife 'Cause I've only just begun Oh, I used to think that they were right On my side, they wouldn't lie So done with that D-done with that Talking shit behind my back Build a castle made of glass So done with that (D-done with that) I'm a fire burning on I do what the hell I want Middle finger to the sky With my head held high I am fearless, I am strong Watch me rise along the dawn Ain't no stopping me this time Got my head held high Used to think that they were right On my side, they wouldn't lie (I'm done with that) (I'm done with that) oh, yeah, I'm I'm a fire burning on I do what the hell I want Middle finger to the sky With my head held high I am fearless, I am strong Watch me rise along the dawn Ain't no stopping me this time Got my head - I'm a fire burning on I do what the hell I want Middle finger to the sky With my head held high I am fearless, I am strong Watch me rise along the dawn Ain't no stopping me this time Got my head held high

  25. You can select the song, we have had similar instances in the past for other nations and it absolutely makes sense that this song should be allowed. There really wasn’t enough time for this song to have been selected for last year’s edition so in my mind it belongs in this year’s edition. Its also the reason I added the loophole about the album to help get some of these types of songs qualified by a rule. For others we have always used a little discretion. The fact that this song charted in 2023 is another indicator it belongs in this edition

  29. Great result for Osmar Olvera, probably our best competitor going to Paris. He adds this gold to the couple of silvers he earned last year; I just pray he doesn’t fall for the traps of the opportunistic media and scoundrels that live off others fame, and that he doesn’t get a breakdown with any expectations Mexican fans get from this result.

  40. Unfortunately, I had read about the Ukrainian team's story, and I can imagine how challenging it must be to train with hearts full of pain and minds elsewhere. But I must also say that it's not the first year the team hasn't trained in Kharkiv, and I had seen the girls both in Fukuoka and especially during the World Cup. I had never seen such marked errors, an unprecedented distraction in the water. In fact, during the World Cup, they had performed quite well. I hope the Ukrainian girls recover in the three team events; they truly deserve to go to Paris. And above all, Slava Ukraine!

  46. With the 1st of 3 Nations Cups complete, I've had a chance to run the numbers and the current race for qualifying in the men's team pursuit looks like this: should move up to 5th place this week however it will be temporary as both and have their continental championships in hand and both are likely to pick up additional 900 points there. The maximum that GB can now score is 7,793 which means that they cannot catch , , or . It is also unlikely that they will finish ahead of and so at the moment, I would say that they will probably end the ranking period in 7th place.
