  1. Just for fun, if we were to take average finishing position of each voting slot, here is how the TISC Open 2023 final rankings would look. Who is ready to sign on the dotted line? @ManuCHIL @hckošice and @Vektor would probably be happy to On the other hand, things would not be looking quite so rosy for @heywoodu as both Netherlands and Brazil are propping up the table Chile 15.40 Slovakia 15.70 Hungary 16.15 Malta 16.60 Canada 16.74 Sweden 16.81 United States 17.05 China 17.05 Mexico 17.25 Great Britain 17.25 Greece 17.40 Israel 17.40 Croatia 18.05 Portugal 18.28 Argentina 18.40 New Zealand 18.45 Kazakhstan 18.55 Serbia 18.70 Spain 19.00 Italy 19.05 Turkey 19.10 Poland 19.40 Ukraine 19.40 Moldova 19.55 Czech Republic 20.20 Ireland 20.37 India 20.40 France 20.65 Germany 20.70 Slovenia 20.75 Romania 20.80 Denmark 21.05 Lithuania 21.30 Indonesia 21.82 Brazil 23.00 Netherlands 23.65

  43. I was wrong. If you sum the total World Cup points won (excl. relays) in week 1 versus week 2, then Italy is indeed under-performing compared to Stage 1. Most improved are: +336 points (796 vs. 460) +115 points (1143 vs. 1028) +115 points (716 vs. 601) Biggest decreases: -151 points (442 vs. 593) -142 points (211 vs. 353) -121 points (243 vs. 364)

  44. The women's 1.500m final today was the strongest final so far this season won by Hanne Desmet . Incredible field here with Desmet, Santos, Kim Gilli, Xandra Velzeboer, Shim Suk Hee, Sarault and Gong Li all in the same race. That's what we want to see!

  45. I’d go further and say it’s quite disrespectful towards the competition itself to decline a quota in a situation where it just means a lesser athlete will get to compete. Really tired of the NOC’s selection procedures. In an era where gaining Olympic quotas in most sports is quite difficult they are completely unnecessary.
