Team USA has been remarkably consistent. They won 10 gold medals in Salt Lake and they've won exactly 9 at each of the past 5 Olympics. I recall from Torino in 2006 that the perception was that the American team did poorly because a lot of the big name stars (think Bode Miller) under-performed. Hopefully that's not the case this time around -
I know conditions in Paris weren't great during the shot put, but that would have won by 22cm.

Avresti dovuto analizzare la prestazione del Settebello dopo l'intero torneo? Com'è stata? Non pensi che alcuni delle giocatrici più esperti dovrebbero tornare? Perché finora, da una squadra che poteva battere chiunque e che, per un po' di sfortuna, non ha vinto nessun oro nel ciclo precedente, siamo diventate una squadra al livello della nazionale femminile, che vincerà forse 1 partita su 10 contro: Spagna o Grecia. Complimenti per la vittoria contro la Croazia, ma il divario con Serbia e Grecia si è in realtà ampliato dalla scorsa estate. Inoltre, guardando altre squadre forti, nessuna ha apportato cambiamenti così radicali alla propria rosa, esonerando metà delle giocatrici più esperte, come stiamo facendo noi ora.
