Are you sure the first matchday will be 17-25 March? I see the first fixtures scheduled for June 2025 :mumble:

After 7 of 12 matchdays, this is how the groups are in the UEFA European U-21 Championship 2027 qualification. All group winners qualify for the tournament, with the best runner-up from all groups also advancing directly. The rest of the runners-up go to the playoffs for the final 4 spots.

Group A: 5 Played each. :ESP first 15p, clear from the rest. Battle for second between :FIN 10p, :KOS 8p and :ROU 7p. :CYP 3p and :SMR 0p really far.

Group B: All 5 played except Scotland and Gibraltar. :POR first 13p, followed by :SCO and :CZE with 10p. :BUL 7p, :AZE 5p and :GIB 0p

Group C: All 5 games except France with 4 and Faroe with 6. :FRA first 10p, second :FRO 9p, :SUI and :ISL 8p. Then, :LUX 4p and :EST 2p.

Group D: Andorra 7 games, Slovakia and Moldova 6, rest 5. :ENG first 15p, followed by :SVK 13p. Then, :IRL 7p, :AND 6p, :KAZ 4p and :MDA 4p.

Group E: All 6 games played. :POL first 18p, runner-up :ITA 15p (best runner-up). Then, :MNE and :SWE 9p. :MKD 3p and :ARM 0p.

Group F: All 5 games played. :GRE first 15p, then :GER 12p. :NIR 7p, :GEO 5p, :LAT 4p and :MLT 0p.

Group G: Israel 5 games, Norway 3, rest 4. :NOR first 9p, :ISR then 6p. Next, :BIH and :NED 5p. :SLO 1p.

Update after Matchdays 8 and 9.

Group A: :ESP is almost a lock with 21p, and 7 games 7 wins. Almost impossible for them to not qualify. The battle is in the second place between :FIN (16p) and :ROU (13p). :KOS with 8p is almost out. :CYP and :SMR eliminated.

Group B: :POR won both of the 2 games so is almost secured with 19p. :CZE is second with 14p, with :SCO (1 more game played) and :BUL with 11p. :GIB is eliminated and :AZE practically too (6p)

Group C: :FRA went 2 out of 2 so they are still first with 16p and one game less than the rest. The battle for second place will be between :SUI 14p, :ISL 11p and :FRO 9p. :EST eliminated and :LUX (with one game less and 4p) probably too.

Group D: Only 3 for 2 places. :ENG first with 19p has the advantage, but coming close is :SVK with 16p. They played each other in the Matchday 11 of 12. Coming in third behind is :IRL with 11p. :AND, :MDA and :KAZ eliminated.

Group E: Both :POL and :ITA won both matches so its still the same, Poland first with 24p and Italy second with 21p, which is the best runner-up and also qualifying directly, so is very likely that both teams end up qualifying no matter who finish first and second. :MNE, :SWE, :MKD and :ARM eliminated.

Group F: A tie between :GER 18p and :GRE 18p. Germany has the goal advantage (+21 to +20), and has to play the three weaker teams, so its more likely to qualify. Coming behind are :NIR with 10p and :GEO with 9p, which are practically eliminated with :LAT and :MLT

Group G: :NOR takes the advantage with 12p and one game less. :BIH and :ISR both have 7p, and coming behind are :NED 5p (but one game less) and :SLO with 5p.

Group H: :CRO with the win against :TUR moved to first place with 13p (and one game less), and Turkey stays in second with 11p. :UKR is coming in third with 8p, while :LTU is eliminated and :HUN have 3p and one game less.

Group I: A triple tie between :BEL, :AUT and :DEN with 10p. Belgium have the advantage because they have the best head to head points and one game less. Austria is second in the H2H difference and Denmark is third but with also one game less. :WAL have 6p and :BLR is eliminated.

The next 3 and last matchdays will define the 10 qualified teams and the 8 that will go to the playoffs. Matchdays will be 24-26 September, 28Sep-1Oct and 5-6 October, 2026.
