Chiccooooooo!!!!! Finally, Francesco Molinari wins a big tournament (the European PGA @ Wentworth) after a very long time, thanks to a bogey-free 3rd and final round (1st player to do it since Colin Montgomery in 1999)...

but McIlroy got very close to turn things around at the last hole, when he missed an eagle shot which could have put enormous pressure on Molinari before his last par shot by just a couple of inches...

Molinari is only the 3rd Italian player to win this historical European tournament after Costantino Rocca (1996) and Matteo Manassero (2013)...

Can't say that I'm impressed, especially by the men's field but the elite is after all at the PGA Championships at the same time.

:USA Kevin Kisner leading the field with -5 after day #1 at The Open...

:USA Tony Finau and the  :RSA duo Erik Van Rooyen & Zander Lombard follow with -4...

good 32 golfers are under the par at the end of today's action (and 20 more are Even with par)...

when the weather conditions are not so difficult (better, extreme), links courses are too easy...

I want to see some golf from Carnasty, not Carnoustie...:yikes::lol:

    • I still don't know how we lost the match against Poland Can't wait to see the semifinals These matches seems very balanced
    • POL rather won’t qualify for a World Cup.   And we surely won’t qualify in a first stage.    So j just want to see interesting matches and my dream group would be:
    • With the IWF cracking down on doping, North Korea was already the second best nation before Covid. The three-year isolation does make things suspicious.   Considering the IWF is now testing them every time they compete (given their results), they are probably clean now. The IWF is on such a short leash that a scandal like this may kill the federation so I imagine they are keeping a watchful eye on them.
    • and  are the men's handball qualifiers from North America. Guess who finished fourth?
