yeah haha, my mistake, sorry buddy. The mask is basically a commonly used slang term. the more official name is the face-cage (wire cage) :)

Not like back in the 60s when the dentist nearest the hockey stadium was always the richest guy in town.

Gotta solidify that gold medal (and maybe a second medal) in the pairs competition :p

Though to be fair even without the host nation boost they had a decent chance for those medals. The other three events would have to be pretty blatant for them to have a chance at a medal. Same for the team event, but given the format it could screw Canada's small chance at a bronze against Japan.

Yeah, that's not a happy call in my opinion based on his "famous" past ..... Moreover, China has more than enough 1st class figure skating judges. So they could have easily chosen anyone else ....

The problem is that federations chose the judges they send when they win a spot on the panel, and obviously for federations that have skaters in contention the first criteria is who is going to advantage their skaters the most, not who is the best judge. As long as national federations pick judges this will be a problem.

Be careful though. Sui Wenjing is known to have had lingering injury problems for years now. Clean skates are not a guarantee for them.

No Tim Singer for the luge :(

Damn. I love Olympics, but I hate this broadcasting thing meaning right at the most important moment, we often can't enjoy the commentators we enjoy throughout the season. I want luge with Tim Singer and nobody else. I want bobsleigh and skeleton with Martin Haven and John Morgan and nobody else. During the summer, I want the mountainbiking with Bart Brentjens and the other guy who's name I forget but who's voice I strongly have in my mind. And so on.

.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
