Hmm, it would be tough to recollect the last time when my twelve points actually won the contest 

 

One that comes to mind was Great Britain with the song from Birdy and Rhodes and I don't remember any other instances.

Wow, that was completely unexpected. As you may be aware, I was fully struggling to even enter the contest because I could not find a song. I had to literally turn to the charts to pick an entry, and that brought about the first non-European winner.
