For selfish reasons I hope that the German team won’t qualify, otherwise German TV will show hours of their matches instead of showing sports that only have the Olympics to present themselves.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Basically I agree with you. However, for years now I've only been watching the individual streams and no longer the main program... there are almost only interviews and background reports and then there are recordings of what you just missed live..

Frankly, I don't think it will be much of a problem. In addition to ARD and ZDF there are their already mentioned Streams, there's Eurosport and, if you are willing to pay for it, there's discovery+, where they will probably show every single event.

So do I, the Dutch can't go through after knocking us out the way they did.

France at least doing their job, that's nice.

Now if :NED lose next wednesday it is at least themselves bottling it.

I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are some booms of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
