very good day of non-racing for :ITA

finally we got a full set of quota places in the Wind- and Kitesurf events, with 1 medal already mathematically in our pocket and 2 more chances to improve our ranking

and if no tsunami happens, also in the ILCA 6 and 7 tomorrow we should add 2 more quota places, making the final score of our team very good and fully compliant with the early expectations, even if some success came unexpected (the ILCAs) and some fails came where it shouldn't have happened (the mixed 470 and the women's 49er FX).

He'll get another chance next month at the European Kite championships at Portsmouth.

Yes, but it's always better to qualify at first occassion, especially when you are on position giving qualification by most of the event time.

it's the same as scheduled originally

medal races for iQFoiL and Kite and final preliminary races for ILCA classes (their medal races will be on Sunday)

quota places for iQFoiL and Kite are decided after yesterday's races

Not quite. It was a reserve day for ILCA :p

Nice outcome for us, as we qualify in the women's windsurfing for the first time as well as men's kite.

Palma Čargo must be one of the most sailing-apt names, as I'm sure the commentators will be saying "cargo". :p
