Will Azmoun be in the squad?

Yes, he is not 100% yet after his injury but still good enough to be in the final squad.

An Argentinian Ad talking about coincidences between 1986 and 2022 WC in a very sarcastic way,  but unfortunately it's only translated in Arabic

How 'alive' is it in your countries at the moment? Here in the Netherlands there's not that much about it, other than some news about the team and such (but not a ton of publicity ads and stuff in supermarkets and shops, like it used to be a few years ago when you'd see orange coloured nonsense everywhere by now), and in three weeks in Brazil I also barely noticed anything other than a handful of green/yellow things in supermarkets and a bunch of Brazilian flags on cars and windows which mostly remain there to show support for Bolsonaro :p

I was rather surprised at how invisible the World Cup seemed to be in Brazil so shortly before the start, even though I know the elections have been the main focus these past months.

The cities in Hungary can barely put enough money together to have their annual Christmas markets and decorations on the streets. So you can probably guess that there won't be any kind of spectator zones for the World Cup. We might experience food shortages during Advent and a significant drop in the quality of life for the first time in many years, so this might be the worst possible time for a World Cup. This will be the World Cup known for "watching footballers play in a rich desert country while we freeze in our homes and have the most depressing Christmas ever".

Its very slow here in Brazil, even on TV there arent many advertising yet.

Its probably because the elections that stills monopolizating the mídia and the talks around the country.

Its gonna change before the first game but its very "cold" in comparation with the last WC

What's so strange about this is that this is very clearly your best chance to win since 2006, maybe even since 2002. If any nations should be hyped about this World Cup, it's :BRA and :ARG

Seems to be very slow here too. Definitely the usual Summer atmosphere is very much absent.

But also, memories from 2018 are still all nice and heartwarming. And since the odds of repeating something like it are slim to none, I giess that makes it another contributing factor in the apparent disinterest.

maybe less than in Antarctica right now, but I saw a world cup coca-cola ad last weekend, but nothing else here suggest a WC will start next week apart the small countdown on the left top of the screen of our national TV sport channel...in other hand why should it, since we don´t play there :p

    • Ooooooh the group of Canada , they play in Toronto then Vancouver ...look at the distance
    • now the shooting sport takes a little Christmas break and the new season resumes in January with the Asian Championships for the Shotgun specialists ( Doha, Jan. 11th through 22nd)   the World Cup will be back in late March, beginning in  Tangiers (March 25th through April 3rd, Shotgun specialists only)   the Rifle and Pistol specialists will start their new season with the European 10m Championships in  Yerevan (Feb. 27th through March 5th) and the 1st World Cup stage for them will be in  Granada in April (5th through 13th)   300m, 25m and 50m European Champs will be in  Osijek (May 30th through June 21st), meanwhile the Shotgun European Champs will be held in  Athens from Sept. 27th through Oct. 13th
    • Rare thing not to see Hancock winning gold.
    • USA will.play in California then Seattle then California ...why hell this long distance , teams should stay in 1 place , this is tiring even for spectators
    • so, the 2025 season is officially over, after the World Cup Finals have been completed with the Shotgun events, where (once again!!!) a new format for the final stage of each event has been experimented for the first time (before it becomes a regular feature in the next season)   the new format enlarge the starting field in each event's final stage to 8 shooters and dramatically shortens the number of target shots to decide the placings   the only characteristic remaining is the progressive eliminations principle   now, as written above, 8 shooters make the final, where after only 12 targets the eliminations start: by then, the last 2 shooters must leave the competition (7th and 8th ranked)   after 12 more targets (24 in total), 2 more shooters have to leave the final (5th and 6th ranked)   then, the crazy carousel starts: every 4 targets we have a new elimination  so, after 28 targets, the 4th ranked shooter is done; after 32 targets the bronze medallist is known and after only 36 targets (provided there's no need for a shoot-off), compared to the previous 60, the gold and silver medallists are crowned   I guess the tiktok people with the attention span of a chinchilla have won once again
