Why quota must be American? Smith scored 24, Malovichko - 25

It should go to :UKR , but ISSF commentators don't know the rules :zip:

1) That rat mascot of the championships is really annoying with the gangster apparel

2) Even ISSF commentators are not clear if quota goes to :USA or :UKR ....

Thw Olympic Quota is clearly assigned to Malovichko.

Never mind :SVK Barteková is out. Hocková secured the spot for :SVK anyway. And Barteková will still have plenty of chances to secure the other spot.

:EGY Mehelba is fighting to get first quota for African athletes in Paris Olympics. If he's successful, we'll have representatives from all continents winning the Olympic quota at these championships.

:CZE Prokop lost Olympic quote and ticket to medal match on the last second! :(

Yeah, that was incredibly sad. Elliott could have put him back but he screwed up :-( ..... If Elliott was in the final, it would be mean that the 4th quota place would to the 5th one from the final, who would be Prokop because Delaney placed in front of him in quali was rulled out in the first step. Like this, Prokop is is 6th and also 1st who does not earn the quota. Also unlucky because he lost the quota do :SWE Nillson. The same shooter who took the Olympic spot from :CZE Nýdrle before the games in Tokyo..... Hopefully Czech will get the second quota later .....

Anyways, congrats to all qualified for the Olympics

I think It doesnt work likes that, if Eliiot was in final, the last spot would have gone to the third with best score in oth semifinals, in this case Al Athba Who scored 28....

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
