The perk of a mini team is having zero expectations.

Heck, I'll even have time to watch every single performance, so I guess I'll just support them as they go along.

Max Parrot, Leukemia survivor

Literally anyone in cross country or Biathlon winning a medal

Charles Hamelin in the 1000m (only gold medal he is missing and this is his last Olympics)

I'm sure there is more but this is what comes to mind

Maxence Parrot and Mark McMorris in snowboard slopestyle / big air.

Sofia Goggia going back-to-back in the women's downhill (alpine skiing) is a no brainer, given what happened in the last couple of weeks

then, Dorothea Wierer (women's biathlon), Roland Fischnaller (men's snowboard) because it would be the perfect "final chapter" of an amazing career for both our veterans and Dominik Fischnaller (men's luge) because 4 years ago he missed out on a medal for just 2/1000 of a second...and it still hurts...

Any Biathlon medal.  Shiffrin winning at least one gold other than super combined.  Erin Jackson and Brittany Bowe both winning gold.

Any Mexican athlete breaking into top 20 would be enough to celebrate :p

Maurice Manificat in a single event, but sadly that seems very unlikely this time. Tessa Worley then.

David Ryding in the Slalom. Just to say we have actually won an Alpine Skiing medal. Failing that third time lucky for James Woods in the Freestyle Ski Slopestyle event as pretty sure this is his last games.

For me it would be Sjinkie Knegt as well, I've got lots of respect for him as an athlete and person.

Another medal for Wüst or Kramer on their final Games would also be very special. They have been the face of speed skating ever since I started watching sports. It's going to be weird without them.

Haha thank you :clap::bowdown:

For :SWE I would say Team Edin. He has won everything except GOLD in Olympics.

Van Der Poel would be a joy too and yes Ice hockey for men. But since the best aren’t participating this is not important.

So Team Edin and Nils Van Der Poel.

My dreams go to the life. So happy for Edin and Van Der Poel.

@rafalgorkacan you see why I wanted this thread? ;)

    • Here, the Masters is on national TV.  Are major golf tourneys in the USA shown in other places?   (I work at a private school that's just about an 80-minute drive from Augusta.  Many of my students are able to go watch the tournament in person.  I've never paid attention to golf until this year...it's a beautiful course!)

    • Orban had one big plus- he built modern football stadiums in Hun and several modern swimming pools in Budapest. Maybe we should hire him as our sports minister and infrastructure
    • Btw. I once read that Denmark has the best democracy in the world - in the sense that it has the most equal system, unlike, for example, North Korea or Eritrea on the other side of the political ocean.
    • This is Tisza's only chance, because without a constitutional majority, Orbán would return for several years. Hopefully, Tisza wins that majority.
    • Seems like a supermajority for Magyar
    • so, one of the most boring world cup stages ever has ended    if it wasn't for  and , winning 1 gold medal each, a  sweep would have come true, as they won all the remaining 8 gold medals (and a bunch of silver and bronze, too)    while some sports are brcoming more and more global, it looks that (rifle and pistol) shooting is going the other way round, it's becoming less and less global, with just 1 or 2 dominating Countries and a few others filling the (minor) gaps here and there, with always less Nations capable to win medals (only 12, out of 10 competitions) and even make the final    now the Rifle and Pistol world cup takes a break to allow most Continental championships to take place between the end of April and May.   It will be back in  Munich in the last week of May.   In the meantime, the Shotgun specialists will be on stage from May 2nd through May, 11th in  Almaty.
