dcro 10,179 Posted February 1, 2022 #11 Share Posted February 1, 2022 The perk of a mini team is having zero expectations. Heck, I'll even have time to watch every single performance, so I guess I'll just support them as they go along. #banbestmen
intoronto 4,236 Posted February 1, 2022 #12 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Max Parrot, Leukemia survivor Literally anyone in cross country or Biathlon winning a medal Charles Hamelin in the 1000m (only gold medal he is missing and this is his last Olympics) I'm sure there is more but this is what comes to mind
NearPup 2,156 Posted February 1, 2022 #13 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Maxence Parrot and Mark McMorris in snowboard slopestyle / big air.
phelps 6,858 Posted February 1, 2022 #14 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Sofia Goggia going back-to-back in the women's downhill (alpine skiing) is a no brainer, given what happened in the last couple of weeks then, Dorothea Wierer (women's biathlon), Roland Fischnaller (men's snowboard) because it would be the perfect "final chapter" of an amazing career for both our veterans and Dominik Fischnaller (men's luge) because 4 years ago he missed out on a medal for just 2/1000 of a second...and it still hurts... Triplecast 114 Posted February 1, 2022 #15 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Any Biathlon medal. Shiffrin winning at least one gold other than super combined. Erin Jackson and Brittany Bowe both winning gold. Ted and rafalgorka
mrv86 2,924 Posted February 1, 2022 #16 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Any Mexican athlete breaking into top 20 would be enough to celebrate hckošice and rafalgorka
De_Gambassi 896 Posted February 2, 2022 #17 Share Posted February 2, 2022 Maurice Manificat in a single event, but sadly that seems very unlikely this time. Tessa Worley then. SalamAkhi and rafalgorka
Medard81 15 Posted February 3, 2022 #18 Share Posted February 3, 2022 David Ryding in the Slalom. Just to say we have actually won an Alpine Skiing medal. Failing that third time lucky for James Woods in the Freestyle Ski Slopestyle event as pretty sure this is his last games. rafalgorka
Jinzha 529 Posted February 3, 2022 #19 Share Posted February 3, 2022 For me it would be Sjinkie Knegt as well, I've got lots of respect for him as an athlete and person. Another medal for Wüst or Kramer on their final Games would also be very special. They have been the face of speed skating ever since I started watching sports. It's going to be weird without them. rafalgorka

Van Der Poel would be a joy too and yes Ice hockey for men. But since the best aren’t participating this is not important. So Team Edin and Nils Van Der Poel. My dreams go to the life. So happy for Edin and Van Der Poel. @rafalgorkacan you see why I wanted this thread? rafalgorka
