So if the reallocations are still happening (I assume they are), Brazil should receive their third spot...

It's too late for reallocation. The NOC can only replace their athlete. Then again we are in the midst of a very unique situation

I don't think so. Costa Rica received a reallocation in Tokyo for taekwondo on the day of the draw. It was also a case of an athlete testing positive.

#banbestmen

Also rumors saying 2 members of :RUS ehm sorry :ROC Bobsleigh 4-Man were tested positive, but not sure how trustworthy this news is (from our medias)

Nicklas Jensen, Phillip Bruggisser og Jesper Jensen aren't travelling with the rest of the Danish men's ice hockey team. They are however expected to be cleared in time for the start of the tournament.

Any word on his chances to make it?

Both Tregubov and Semenyov have already been replaced by Rukosuev and Romanov, resp.

Germany's Axel Jungk was tested positive after St Moritz WC, but there is still hope for him.

Shaoang Liu officially got the green light to compete. he will travel to Beijing on Wednesday.

As mentioned in the Hockey thread. Peter Cehlárik :SVK  Ice Hockey, he´ll stay in solation in the Bratislava bubble and the team will evaluate his case on daily basis, the deadline to arrive to Beijing for our players is 7th February, if any player will be not able to that date a alternate (6 guys isolated in another special bubble) will have to replace him(them)

Cehlárik missing will be very bad for us, he is without doubts our best player of this roster...and it is not even close

Two positive covid-cases in the :SWE Men's Ice Hockey team. Emil Djuse (SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, :SUI ) and Erik Gustafsson(Lulea HF, :SWE ) have been tested positve and will miss the Games. They will be replaced by Theodor Lennstrom (Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, KHL, :RUS ) and Philip Holm (Jokerit Helsinki, KHL, :FIN )

And now the :SWE Women's  curling team has been hit as well as lead Sofia Marbergs has had a positive test!

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
