Yeah much better from Ninis and expected much worse from Skupek :d

I just hope Jozef will make it to the 4th Heat this time in his last Olympics, will be hard to be in top 20 though. For Skupek a Top 30 would be nice.

Some thoughts from the first few televised training runs I’ve seen. Track is quite unique. The open curve profiles are wild. No look at the spiral today (covered from sun), so don’t know what to make of it. That roller at the bottom is quite something though.

Parts of the track that seem to be more problematic/points of interest:

- Exit Turn 2

- Turn before the entrance to the spiral (Turn 8?)

- Roller right before the finish

Nikolajev :BIH with a bit of scary run as well. Issues from the start.

What are these camera angles? The venue is also ugly, for a lack of a better word.

They cant possibly be as Bad as the Ski jumping Camera Angles.

    • I'm all in favor of this and it was about time. Wrestling has become table tennis 2.0 and in some cases even worse. In European Championships from 20 wrestlers in a weight you were seeing 7-8 foreigners. Yes, it's mostly Russians, but there are also Ukrainians, Georgians, Cubans being naturalized.    I've said it numerous times, that i don't approve the tactic our federation started of naturalizing people left and right. Which actually wasn't paying off that much, until the Olympics. If it leads to worse results, than it's just a wakeup call for the destruction of our wrestling system (which has been evident for 15 years).

    • New season streams are posted for the weekend if you need to get your schedule organised.     Remember, it's a double bill from Pyeongchang  on Saturday and Sunday this weekend, then a single race from  next weekend. No bobsleigh yet, so I guess they will get double races with no skeleton later in the season.      There were two Asian Cup races on the Pyeongchang track last weekend, and another scheduled for tomorrow, so no excuses for poor performance, everybody should be used to it by now.     IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton - YouTube
    • races also on Saturday and Sunday.  These are sometimes FTA, other times you will need your VPN.   Skidskytte: Idre | SVT Play
    • So here we are....pre-season races ready to go.  Always important for the big teams to get some last minute promotions for the first trio of pre-Christmas World Cup races, or even for club skiers to get some kind of promotion into a professional training group.      races on Saturday and Sunday morning.  Usually these are globally free to air live, although you sometimes have to wander round a bit to find the right link.   Sport - NRK TV
    • Anyway, for those who were following this discussion a few weeks ago,  has an excellent chance of first-ever World Cup podiums, possibly even wins, this weekend.  Roche Silveira won and was second in two full-scale rehearsal races last weekend, and has two chances in Pyeonchang on Saturday and Sunday. Then Pinheiro Braathen has another chance in the Levi slalom on Sunday.
