Not really, professional sports events are still allowed (without spectators, but that's no different than it already was). If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! NearPup 2,169 Posted December 19, 2021 #142 Share Posted December 19, 2021 The Olympic trials will be held at the brand new “Centre de Glace” in Quebec City from December 27th to 31st. I believe this is the first time since 1984 that Calgary will not hold the Olympic trials. Ted and heywoodu 1

I'm not @heywoodu, but I can answer this too. Professional sports can continue, but without spectators. So the trials will be held, just in an empty skating hall. EDIT: Sorry, for some reason I totally missed the posts on this page and did not notice heywoodu had already replied.

Dennis 600 Posted December 21, 2021 #145 Share Posted December 21, 2021 Patrick Roest skated a 3:35 on a 3.000m during a training competition in Heerenveen. That looks like a world record to me, but I'm not sure.

Or both, he wasn't the only fast Jumbo (Femke Kok in the 500m was flying as well) We'll get to see from Sunday, I'm rather excited If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! NearPup 2,169 Posted December 21, 2021 #149 Share Posted December 21, 2021 The world record in the men’s 3000m is 3:37.28. I’m guessing these training races don’t count.
