  5. I think Al Ghotany is still given the invitational places to Olympics for Refugee Olympic Team since his name is included in the athlete list in Refugee Olympic Team. But the quota given to him is an invitational quota but not the quota from Asian Qualifier. And the Asian Qualifier quota is given to . So one more quota is given out. I think the reason why Abbasi is not given the quota is because he is not a real refugee so the quota taken by the Refugee Olympic Team is disqualified since the athlete is not eligible for the NOC. So a reallocation is given to the bronze medalist but an invitational quota is still given to Refugee Team
  6. Team Austria Goaltenders: Thomas Honeckl (Black Wings Linz, ICEHL) David Kickert (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) David Madlener (Pioneers Vorarlberg, ICEHL) Defencers: Nico Bruner (Vienna Capitals, ICEHL) Dominique Heinrich (Vienna Capitals, ICEHL) David Maier (KAC Klagenfurt, ICEHL) Ramon Schnetzer (HC Thurgau, ) Paul Stapelfeldt (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) Steven Strong (KAC Klagenfurt, ICEHL) Clemens Unterweger (KAC Klagenfurt, ICEHL) Bernd Wolf (HC Lugano, ) Kilian Zundel (Ambri-Piotta, ) Forwards: Benjamin Baumgartner (SC Bern, ) Manuel Ganahl (KAC Klagenfurt, ICEHL) Lukas Haudum (KAC Klagenfurt, ICEHL) Paul Huber (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) Mario Huber (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) Benjamin Nissner (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) Thomas Raffl (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) Vinzenz Rohrer (ZSC Lions, ) Marco Rossi (Minnesota Wild, NHL, ) Peter Schneider (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) Lucas Thaler (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) Ali Wukovits (Red Bull Salzburg, ICEHL) Dominic Zwerger (Ambri-Piotta, )

  8. It's absurd. I'm the biggest refugee team defender in the world, I update their wikipedia pages and things like that, but I still fail tu understand how it works. Like, Cindy Ngamba wins a quota in the World Boxing qualifier, forfeiting the chance of another athlete getting the quota, but she still needs to get an invitation for it? If she already qualified, why? For that, dont allow refugees compiting in quialifiers and name yourself the team. It's the same with the Marathon guy. He's going to qualify via World Ranking stealing other runners place when he's already qualified to the Olympics. Its absurd.
  9. The USA has reversed its decision to not compete at the U20 World's in Lima.
  10. Abbasi lost his quota since he is not real refugee Quota go to another refugee and !
  12. Road to Paris 2024: Mixed 4x400m Relay 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Can India still qualify for the Mixed 4x400m Relay? Here is the qualification scenario... https://thesportsgram.in/2024/05/06/paris-2024-4x400m-mixed-relay-qualification
  13. What a whirlwind on how they handled Abbasi's quota. Technically, the quota goes to the NOC so EOR could have chosen someone else, but Al Ghotani didn't reach the minimum athlete requirement so was not eligible. However, since the IOC has the power to create quotas they decided to decline the original quota and then create a new one. Obviously this smells like a backroom deal was made. I mean at this point, why even let the refugees attempt to qualify if they are going to nominate whoever they want.
  14. The quota of Abbasi is reallocated to the bronze medalist of the Asian Qualifier, which is , and this is the first time Hong Kong athletes participate in taekwondo And one more invitational quota of refugee team is gone to another refugee Al Ghotani

Posición de los españoles en el ranking olímpico actualizado (con mínima de entrada o que entrarían por ranking). Ver en : https://clasificacionolimpicaparis2024.blogspot.com/search/label/Atletismo
  16. That's a good question because we didn't know yet. Last cycle our federation did the very late exchange of quota from Oleksandr Petriv, who was injured, to Serhiy Kulish. So for us, it's a mystery, at least for now.
  17. WOW ! Gold and Bronze for Egypt in the same day , impressive plus its our 1st Gold medal ever in a Fencing Grand prix

  19. How Chinese are this much consistent. ? 9 medal by their Olympic team out of 12 possible in air weapons .
  20. In the case of saber, the problem was already visible at last year's World Championships and, in fact, the team's 2 qualifications should be considered a success. For the women a team miss QO of 99% would mean 0 people in Paris and there was a high risk of this happening. For men, we still have to count on Samele and Curatoli.
  21. Team Norway Goaltenders: Jonas Arntzen (HK Örebro, ) Henrik Haukeland (Düsseldorfer EG, ) Tobias Normann (AIK Stockholm, ) Defencers: Sander Vold Engebråten (Jukurit Mikkeli, ) Isak Hansen (Brynäs IF, ) Sander Hurrød (Storhamar Stjernen) Johannes Johannesen (Lahti Pelicans, ) Max Krogdahl (Östersunds IK, ) Christian Kåsastul (HC Pustertal, ICEHL, ) Mattias Nørstebø (IF Björklöven, ) Stian Solberg (Vålerenga Oslo) Forwards: Michael Brandsægg-Nygård (Mora IK, ) Andreas Martinsen (Storhamar Dragons) Eskild Bakke Olsen (BIK Karlskoga, ) Thomas Olsen (Vålerenga Oslo) Thomas Berg Paulsen (Malmö Redhawks, ) Martin Rønnild (Storhamar Dragons) Eirik Østrem Salsten (Storhamar Dragons) Håvard Østrem Salsten (Sparta Warriors) Noah Steen (Mora IK, ) Patrick Thoresen (Storhamar Dragons) Mathias Trettenes (Stavanger Oilers) Petter Vesterheim (Mora IK, ) Markus Vikingstad (Fishtown Pinguins, ) Mats Zuccarello (Minnesota Wild, NHL, )
  22. Good for Jean Pierre! For his second Olympic Games he will be higher than the 28th place in London 2012.
  23. For me it's at least +1 mixed team, but I'm counting on a men's team. It's a pity that Asia's QO was taken over by low-ranking Kazakhstan, rather than India or Taiwan. This sport has become so competitive lately that basically anyone can beat anyone. The second thing is that before Tokyo that I remember 6-7 teams qualified from the World Championships and now only the medalists and Italy were left with nothing - 4th place.
  24. Women's TT Olympic Probables Sun Yingsha lost 1-3 to Ayika Mukherjee Wang Manyu lost 1-3 to Manika Batra Wang Yidi lost 0-3 to Sreeja Akula Cheng Xingtong lost 3-4 to Manika Batra Cheng Meng - Yet to be beaten Women's Team is slowly coming as a serious contender. No other team in the world have such record against
