  1. In sailing, Felipe Klüver got the bronze medal at the Poznan round of the World Cup with 6'46.86. Bruno Cetraro was 7th. In boxing, Chris Namùs lost against Mary Spencer by TKO at the first round after falling three times. In wheelchair racing, Eduardo Dutra got the national marathon record at Minnesota with 1:35'26. In beach handball, the men's national team lost to Croatia and Argentina and defeated United States, Greece, Spain and Ecuador. The team advanced to the quarter-finals, where they will play Denmark. Meanwhile, the women's national team defeated Australia and lost to Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Argentina and Brazil. They will play the 9th place bracket.
  2. At the Swimming World Championship: Clara De León got 74.2252 points (18th) in technical solo and 77.5333 points in freestyle solo (15th). She and Agustina Medina got 72.7254 points in technical duo. Nicole Frank did the 200 m medley at 2'17.78 and the 100 m breaststroke at 1'10.48. Micaela Sierra did the 200 m breaststroke at 2'39.05 and the 50 m breaststroke at 34.25. Pedro Chiancone did the 200 m freestyle at 1'54.08.
  3. In triathlon, Federico Scarabino was third at the Accra round of the African Triathlon Cup, doing the 26 km in 55'05.98. In athletics, Emiliano Lasa finished fourth in long jump at the Norway round of the Diamond League with 7.90 m. In sailing, the national team was 3rd out of four South American countries at the Star Sailors League qualifier, and did not advance to the Gold Cup. In field hockey, the national federation made a bid to host the 2026 Women's World Championship, rivalling Australia and South Africa. In rugby, the Teros lost to Japan 34-15 at Chichibunomiya. The second match will be held at Kitakyushu.

  5. Uruguay's Cimarronas won an invitational women's Hockey5s tournament held in Lausanne. They had five straight wins over Switzerland (twice), South Africa, India and Poland.

Peñarol also collected 7 points, but was last in his group and was eliminated. Wanderers was 3rd in their group at the Copa Sudamericana with 8 points, whereas River Plate was last with 3 points.

In road cycling, Fabiana Granizal was third at the Pan American Championship, the first ever for Uruguay women's cycling at the event. Sixto Núñez was also bronze.
  14. Uruguay got multiple medals in athletics at the South American Youth Games: Gonzalo Gervasini won the 800 m with 1'52.98 and the 1500 m 3'57.61. Silvina Gil was silver in high jump with 1.69. Adrián Nicolari was bronze in 100 m with 10.67 (new national under-18 record) and bronze in 200 m with 21'29 Nazarena Filpo was bronze in 800 m with 2'15.14. The mxied team was bronze in 4x400 with 3'42.38. The women's field hockey team was silver; the women's beach handball team was bronze; and Julieta González was bronze in street skateboarding. As a results, Uruguay collected 3 gold medals, 5 silvers and 10 bronzes.
  15. In athletics, Santiago Catrofe crushed the national 5000 m record at Málaga with 13'28.41. Also, the Montevideo Marathon was held yesterday with over 4,000 participants. The men's winner was Nicolás Cuestas won with 2:20'35, followed by José Cardona (2:30'39) and Ruben Inda (2:37'55). The women's winner was Camila Bagnasco with 3:12'58 (not exactly competitive). In 21 km, the winners were Andrés Zamora with 1:04'55 and Lorena Sosa with 1'17:54 (who crushed the national record). In 10 km, the winners were Gaspar Geymonat (31'44) and Karen Lucía Romero 40'01.
  16. Leclerc had DRS for several laps and couldn't overtake Verstappen. I insist that it's the cars that prevent action. An IndyCar race there would be thrilling.

  20. Argentina has a perfect record of 6 wins in regulation time, however they are fourth in points. This format is a mess. The FIH should sort of copy the FIVB Volleyball Nations League, and have 3-5 weeks of play, so each group has four teams playing each other in a single venue.
  21. Conference Semifinals after two games: Golden State Warriors took an away win over Memphis Grizzlies. Milwaukee took an away win over Boston Celtics. Miami Heat has two home wins over PHI 76ers. Phoenix Suns has two home wins versus Dallas Mavericks.
  22. Hey, Uruguay had narrow losses versus Brazil, one of them at overtime.
  23. Uruguay so far got a gold medal in men's 3x3 basketball, three silvers and three bronzes. I hope for more medals in athletics and team sports.
  24. In rugby, Peñarol is now leading the South American Super League with 7 wins and 1 loss. Next rivals are Jaguares XV and Selknam, its two main rivals for the title. I hope I can attend the Selknam match.
