3x3 Basketball qualification was based on the ranking as of Tuesday. However, I didn’t see the qualification system until today, so below is a list of NOCs that would qualify given today’s (Friday) rankings (which I assume aren’t that different from Tuesday’s, but felt I should note that.) Hey, I like the Bolivarian Games I would add that it’s also been an extremely busy year for many countries. Quite a few have sent teams to multiple multi-sport games on top of world championships or other major global events in each sport. I could see funding being a bit tight for many nations, leading to more selective choices about where/when athletes/teams compete.

What a cool moment for the sport. It really showcases the degree of development the sport has seen in the last decade. Cool to see get wins too.

I was reasonably impressed by the standard of their gymnasts at the Mediterranean Games this summer. Nice to see that form carry through to the World Championships

Regardless of the outcome, it’s hard to find a less inspiring, or unhealthy (can’t quite come up with the words I want here, so these will have to do) election than this one. I read up on the all the major candidates (top 5/6) during the first round, and I honestly don’t know if I’d willingly support any of them. The amount of scandals, conflicts of interest, questionable political decisions, etc. are just ridiculous. I’d certainly like to here some local users viewpoints on the state of Brazilian democracy.
