  1. Yeah, Bornan has generally been pretty good about uploading documents from my experience. San Salvador 2023 is arguably their most complex undertaking so far, and they’re not hosting the results system on their own URL which is unusual. I’m hoping everything gets updated at some point, but who knows what’s going on with them. Atos, on the other hand, not scoring any compliments from me with this system. Numerous missing documents, occasional slow loading or even crashing, and no daily schedule feature.
  2. Chevrier snagged the bronze medal in men’s laser. I guess those universality quotas for the Olympics are starting to have an impact on the program Lettsome won the battle for the Pan American Games quota. He becomes his country’s first athlete qualified for the Games.
  3. swept racquetball. It’s the second sport they’ve swept at the Games.
  4. It’s raining pretty steady at the velodrome from the looks of things. I’m not sure there will be any track cycling finals tonight
  5. Of course Movistar’s leader crashes out in the year they finally decide to ride for one rider Shame to see him and Carapaz gone already.
  6. Of course, the case can also be made that those two nations also don’t seem to place a high importance on the Games. I understand why Canada might not given their participation in the Commonwealth Games, but I don’t understand why the U.S. is so ambivalent to the Games. It’s not like we have many other opportunities to compete in events similar to the Olympics. That said, both NOCs should at least be given the opportunity to qualify, as should all other NOCs.
  7. Definitely think the qualification process needs a rethink (for all sports) before 2027. There have been way too many updates made to the system during the qualification period (ie changing the amount of quotas at various events, eliminating qualification opportunities, adding events, etc), and there’s just an overload of competitions it seems. In fairness, this whole cycle’s been a bit wonky (globally) because of the pandemic. Maybe it’s just a personal feeling, but it feels like there is a weird energy, incompleteness, rushed nature, etc. to a lot of the multi-sport games this year and last year.
  8. Baseball qualification system has been updated as @intoronto alluded to in the CAC Games thread. New version is available here: https://www.santiago2023.org/descargas/en/Baseball.pdf all fail to qualify, meaning we will have an entirely new podium in Santiago. also fails to qualify. The team sport lineups are looking weird this edition. It probably doesn’t help that many qualification events have been held separately from major competitions. PanamSports and continental federations might need to rethink the qualification systems moving forward.
  9. Ah, haven’t been watching any of that. My bad.
  10. I just graduated from university with my degree (last month), so now you can feel REALLY old.
  11. Kubacki delivers, what I imagine, will be a very popular home gold medal there. Two great jumps from him today.
  12. Ipcioglu will finish in the top 10
  13. Who’s Avril Lavigne?
  14. I could be wrong, but I think moisture is better for the skis
  15. has its gold medal at least! Stoeva sisters deliver in badminton.
  16. Have a nice day loyalist scum
  17. Slovakia should really give the Czech program some pointers to help them improve.
  18. Szocs saves face for her country in the team final. We get not one, but two, on the table celebrations from her during the match
  19. Kapusitik (the graphic disappeared before I could check spelling, so sorry if wrong) with a great first round jump @hckošice
  20. looks to have that on lock as well
  21. Stanton won’t be challenging for podium this edition by the looks of things
  22. Men’s laser is very tight for the medals and Pan Am quota heading into the final races tomorrow. Arathoon one point up Van Aanholt for the gold, with in contention as well. all very much challenging for the quota. with an outside shot as well (I suppose).
  23. both being in contention is really making me forensically examine each flag when someone posts about this tournament
