  1. But it still remains to be seen how much damage those measures have done in the end (and no, one can't simply say "but economics is just money", it's also - and even more - about people's livelihoods), and even whether or not it won't sort of restart when everything gets back to normal and people go out and about by the millions again.
  2. Here too, that cliche thing of clapping out of the windows at 20:00 (I listened and only heard one faint clap in the distance, but in the cities there were more - I'm glad I don't live there). TV news even mentioned it and showed videos of groups of people clapping and cheering together, out on the street...that is exactly what you shouldn't do, freaking idiots!
  3. And so every country has their own - often totally different - predictions, all based on people who I definitely dare say are indeed experts. There are also plenty of experts who warn that these insanely strict measures may only postpone the huge peak and give the exact same troubles (or more), only later. Only time will tell who was right..
  4. I came here to post "the only country in Europe where closing all borders would actually make sense now is Montenegro". Dude.
  5. It makes literally zero difference though. To try and contain the spread at least inside the country, they should have completely closed borders for people coming out of the then affected areas, specifically Wuhan/Hubei/China, Iran, South Korea and Italy. Blocking people from Ecuador or Burundi, for example, makes zero difference considering they'd be coming into a more affected area instead of bringing something into a less affected area.
  6. All borders closed (in the Netherlands, I'm assuming that'll be the case for all of the EU) for people from outside the EU. That ain't fun.
  7. And already a second as well, I read (on Revista Fórum, but I don't have the exact link anymore).
  8. Awesome! I saw the embed code, but didn't think to put it in the YouTube box, you know, since it's not a YouTube video
  9. We're not so childish as to make a little stabbing and murdering worthy of a DQ, come on.
  10. wtf seriously how does that work?! I am beyond excited! @Werloc
  11. Well, at least they help people feel a bit safer then
  12. Frecce Tricolori is fantastic and this specific move, with which they have ended their airshows for 25+ years now, gives me shivers every time (including the one or two times I was fortunate enough to be at an airshow where they performed). It is a little typical for these times that Donald Trump retweeted this specific video as if it actually was done one of these days (while the video more likely is 'just' from a regular airshow in the past few years), but it doesn't make this move any less awesome
  13. I wonder how many people take off their mask at home, put on the same thing again when going outside and take it off and put it back on again and so on
  14. Oh yes, let's disqualify songs in literally the last hours of voting, weeks after entries were closed. What a wonderful idea
  15. Thou stabbeth a knife into my back, good sir.
  16. Worried you're gonna need to try and find a reserve?
  17. Nobody can produce a functioning mask by themselves, or does everyone have professional mask factories? Anyway, saw another mask yesterday. They're still so rare here I can easily count them (three, so far)
  18. Where do you guys get all those face masks? Here I'm glad the general public isn't wearing them, because there's a massive shortage and especially healthcare workers need them much more than the average person
  19. Oh yeah, right when the most awesome sports are in full swing. Fantastic.
  20. I did 15km as well today Surprisingly it was one of the easier runs I've done, 6:20 pace roughly and I felt like I could have gone another hour if I didn't desperately need to get home due to some stomach trouble
  21. Today talks will be held and the most likely outcome is that ESC2020 will be cancelled. Not surprising.
  22. I think we can assume the official account of the Norwegian federation isn't spreading rumours, so there we go: I don't think translation is needed to get what it says
