  1. Nikita Porshnev this year apparently, that's....odd Not much of a surprise on the women's side, she deserved it.
  2. But Makarainen very much shows emotions. It's just coming across more 'real' to me, but that's my opinion
  3. Well to be fair, 60+ tests sounds extremely little even for a country with 0,6 million people I hope you're going to hold on strong though
  4. Absolutely. Thing is, with some - like Wierer - they come across like this is their main thing and in anything they project to the world, it's all about them. Having the luck of their looks makes it way easier to make people like them, of course, and it makes it easier to make sure people get angry if other people don't like them because of their behaviour The contrast couldn't be bigger between interviews right now on TV: first the extremely humble Makarainen, followed by Wierer. Anyway. And just to be clear: you'll never hear me say Wierer isn't a great biathlete. Like her, don't like her, doesn't matter, it would simply be a lie to deny she is a fantastic athlete.
  5. Not testing?
  6. Excellent reason to like women's biathlon more than men's biathlon. Don't care much who the athlete is, but if one wins 5+ globes in a row it gets a little boring, no matter how fantastic the performance is
  7. She's bringing me close enough to the Dark Side, I won't let her totally turn me I'll stay who I am, and if liking or not liking an athlete based on things one hears or sees is part of that, so be it
  8. Laptops and TVs flying out the window every time the Wierer-act wins
  9. And that's the globe for Her Royal Highness, Princess I Am Awesome, Look At Me. Lucky her Roeiseland focused on an epic WCh haul
  10. Excellent job from the TV director. Nothing much happened in the end anymore between Eckhoff/Wierer in terms of the fight for the overall (I mean, Eckhoff beating her by one position makes no difference), while Makarainen was very much still fighting for the podium.
  11. Plus absolutely show Kaisa fighting for the podium. Luckily they do.
  12. Coronavirus can kiss my ass, today is a final day of biathlon that we all deserved in terms of competition. Wow.
  13. This is insane.
  14. It deserved an end with spectators, but logically that's not possible. And since that wasn't possible, these final races provided more than enough excitement in the overall fight. Come on, the men's overall title was decided in literally the last shooting bout of the season.
  15. Buhbye Dorothea
  16. IBU Cup queen Skottheim from 40th to 7th.
  17. If I do that here out of my window there's pretty much three people or so who might hear it (not exaggerating)....curious how it'll be in the cities
  18. Shakur Stevenson and Miguel Marriaga fighting for Stevenson's WBO featherweight world title (boxing).
  19. Since roller skiing falls under FIS: it's not over yet More races today and tomorrow
  20. Apparently Persoon just came back from a hernia, so it was sort of a lost battle early on.
  21. By the way, today is exactly 10 years (to the day) since Fourcade's first World Cup win. A pursuit. In Kontiolahti.
  22. Otherwise known as FIS Jarkko Maeaettae agrees.
  23. So people didn't realize Mäkäräinen was Mäkäräinen or what am I missing?
