  1. Well that saves me some time Thanks!
  2. I'm not reading posts because of spoilers, but I tried to watch the Lausanne DL and the channel that normally shows DL has nothing. Was it even held, or was it only pole vault in the city somewhere and no other events? Because I do find a Kendricks vs Duplantis video on Youtube which I'm watching now
  3. Belgian commentators generally do pick up what's being told on race radio, so I'd have heard it, but I had better things to do
  4. Named after Peter Winnen, by the way
  5. Huh, that's what happens when you only tune in for the last 8km, you miss stuff like this
  6. Young Hungarian Attila Valter has taken his first serious win by winning the main stage and GC at the Tour of Hungary today, which had a rather strong field of participants. https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/tour-de-hongrie/2020/stage-5 He's been showing good results for a while, but this is sort of a breakthrough. Cool to see Hungary having someone new after one-trick pony Laszlo Bodrogi.
  7. Wait, now did Alaphilippe lose that much today if he finished 16th, ahead of Yates?
  8. "Dear King of the Belgians, I think it is time to appoint Mr Van Aert as the person to finally form a government. This man can do everything."
  9. God Wout, best rider in the history of the entire world of sports, he is Zeus, the rest are mere mortals, sprinting to at least 15km ahead of the rest of the peloton after destroying everyone on the climb yesterday Ok I may have been a little influenced by watching Belgian TV.
  10. I hope there won't be any eligibility issues, considering this is Gabriela Neres' only chance left to compete.
  11. Alaphilippe is riding the Tour with a €170k watch
  12. Ah, great, the finish wasn't dangerous enough.
  13. Makes me think about the Netherlands in the same event: the general level is not really very good at all, but apparently both you and we have one young and very talented girl making up for that
  14. Recipe for disaster at the finish. Not as obviously terrible as that one stage in Poland that screams for a heavy fall (and got it this year), but still.
  15. It's more about money than about placing well though. IBU Cup starts = money.
  16. For most of them I'd suggest it is because they aren't in the military, but Fabrizio Bourguignon of Brazil definitely is. Although he may have just focused on the regular IBU Cup season and gone home then. The Brazilian federation is all about letting athletes compete in the IBU Cup (where the federation collects money for every start), less about paying all kinds of special stuff like going to the Winter Military Games As for Chile, Juan Agurto is in the military, but there as well I'm not sure whether time and such allowed for a trip to an event like this.
  17. Too bad. I've been watching it for at least 20 years, the last at least 10 of which pretty intensive, and I'm still looking like a complete fool By the way, about the US Open: the number of matches is no problem for me, it's the inconvenience of Totallympics (or any text-based forum in general) to quickly fill them in. I believe there are websites where you can just Tab through the whole thing in a couple of minutes if you don't need ages to think about your picks. This is not meant to criticize anything or anyone by the way, it's just the nature of a forum.
  18. Posted the men at least, I'll try the women tomorrow

  20. I'll do my best, although I do think it would be invaluable for everyone if we can all figure out a way to make this way quicker for both the organizer and participants Maybe using an online tool or something for the tennis contests, where for example the winner of match A is already placed in the next round's match automatically instead of having to do double work (entering score and copy-pasting names)
  21. There really should be a way to do this with keyboard only (number, tab, number, tab, number, tab, number, tab), this clicking with my shabby mouse is driving me mad I might give it a try tomorrow morning in between work, out of respect for @Wumo's hard work
  22. I had missed that and thought to do it now...yeah, I don't think I'm gonna have time to do this
  23. Thank you for that crash, Kwiatkowski.
  24. Attack by Alaphilippe, surprisingly Marc Hirschi jumps onto his wheel.
  25. Former GC contender Zakarin is letting go, Aru isn't good neither.
