    That's the one, yep The thing about the 'real' world championships (allround) and the sprint one is that they used to be separate for ages, until recently ISU decided to put them together in the same week(end). Result: nobody has a chance to go for the rare and hard double anymore and nobody seems happy about it. This combined thing has four events (men's and women's allround and sprint), the single distance one has 16 nowadays I believe (500, 1000, 1500, 3000/5000, 5000/10000, team pursuit, team sprint, mass start).

    Sherrock is pretty poor in terms of her scoring, but absolutely killing Dobey on finishes, holy crap

    PDC World Championship, after Whitlock - King (rather mediocre) and a very good Durrant - Gurney it's now time for Fallon Sherrock to see if she can also kick out Chris Dobey.

    Instead of the weird speed skating combined allround + sprint world championships, why not have the single distance world championships? More events, makes more sense than ISU's dumb thing of putting two awesome, but non-related events together and so on.

    Yeah handball and water polo are two of the team sports one could do without, but then again, these contests are just for fun: if you're not into one or some, just don't participate. It's that easy Therefore: as many as the organizer wants to organize

    Wow, happy to see she is writing that herself. That could have ended very, very much worse...no cross-country worlds I guess, hopefully she'll recover enough to get back on the mountainbike.

    93 passengers, 5 crew. 'Dozens of survivors' in hospitals. That sounds like a lot of people got very (relatively, obviously) lucky. Not to make it sound any less bad than it is, but damn, one wouldn't think anyone would survive something like that..

    Right, confused the things. We're trying to figure out exactly what a certain Totallympian has to do to qualify, since it'd be pretty dumb to rely on the national federation for that information in this matter, considering their track record of being...well, not great.

    Impossible to compare to cross-country skiing though, since in alpine skiing specialism between the events is a much bigger deal.

    Is it possible to qualify for both the distance and sprint races if an athlete gets under 300 FIS points on both rankings? The document doesn't specifically mention whether or not C.3.2 and C.3.3 are cumulative or not.

    That last part is the problem in some families though, where weirdly it's seen as a bad thing if you decide not to go
