  1. Who cares about looks once you have cake or some other tasty thing
  2. I'm not a fan of Johaug winning, but if she does, at least let it be in this way: having to give absolutely everything she's got to win by less than a second
  3. Same feeling here The format isn't completely official yet, I really hope matches against challengers won't count, that'd be so unfair..
  4. Putting her in the Premier League would be a shock to absolutely nobody Well, she ain't getting one of the nine main spots, but is very, very likely to be announced as one of the 'challengers' who only play in one evening. Like this year's contenders, which were used because Anderson withdrew with an injury at a late time. Barry Hearn himself has already said she is very much in the running for one of those spots, which will be announced a few days after the world championships.
  5. So how on earth will that pursuit work? That means there will be a winner of the pursuit race (1st to cross the finish), someone who gets the best points (fastest times) AND then there's still something to calculate in the standings?
  6. Sure, sure, but otherwise it's just a matter of keeping complaining about everything, so if someone mentions any non-Norwegian win is good, any non-Norwegian win counts
  7. Wait, this is wrong too? He said he'd be cheering for any non-Norwegian win and Russia just took the entire podium
  8. Monzanator is sitting with his champagne bottle ready, Russian dominance so far
  9. The only other official race so far I'm considering is a 5 or 10 km in the next town over (15-20 minutes by bike). A certain Brazilian biathlete very much wants to run the 10k there and try and get a medal on Dutch soil, if I run as well I'll do the 5k only
  10. In sprints I am, since otherwise there's just no chance at all to make a difference there.
  11. Well, just registered for my second half marathon: 4 April in my hometown of Nunspeet. Meaning the one in Amersfoort, which I'll once again run together with @brunamoura on 14 June, is going to be my third instead of second one.
  12. I can somewhat understand wanting to light your beautiful fireworks earlier than 31 December, but what I just don't understand: there are people who light it during the day.....when you see literally nothing of it And that's the actually good-looking stuff I'm talking about (as long as it's dark of course). Obviously for those goddamn moronic things that do nothing but produce a bang, usually used by kids pretending to be tough and adults who can't accept they're adults now, it doesn't matter whether or not it's dark.
  13. Yeah, in the last couple of days it has increased exponentially. Generally it slowly starts in the second half of November, slowly increases towards 5 December and after that it goes up and up and up. Then the last three days of the year fireworks can legally be sold (which starts at 28 December instead of 29 if one of the three days is a Sunday, when shops are closed in some parts of the country). Officially one can only light fireworks from 18:00 on 31 December (10:00 until a few years ago), but nobody really cares and no chance in hell police does something
  14. Annoyingly way too many people are already doing that (mostly since one or two days) and it's only getting heavier and heavier throughout the day We do have a few somethings for tonight
  15. Happy new year and new decade and 2020 to all the 35.000 people in Samoa and 110.000 people (plus some) on the Kiribati islands
  16. I agree. My point is there are, sadly, a lot of children who've had certain bad experiences and this might bring up some bad traumas. Way more than seeing two people kiss.
  17. Something I've never understood (although it's been ages since I've been to a beach, because, you know...beach. Yuck. Apart from a short beach walk in Brazil which was enjoyable because there were barely any people)
  18. Because the chance of seeing two people kiss being harmful is significantly smaller than the chance of seeing some rando's genitals being harmful. PS: you shouldn't be in bed, you should be working through the shitshow that is Van Gerwen - Aspinall
  19. Because children don't need to be exposed to random people's genitals, which is rather different than two random people simply kissing like (one can assume) any couple does.
  20. Sure, but the whole situation of there suddenly being a fuss is on him then, not on the other people who are just going about their daily life.
  21. I have no idea there are a ton of weirdos who would say it is in fact the fault of B and C who, like A, just carry about their day.
