  1. Mind your words, young man, it's the EBERSPÄCHER World Cup-season!
  2. Start lists: http://zagreb-meeting.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/SL_ZAGREB_20_0913_14.38_a.pdf Really curious what Michael Obasuyi will do, considering the great showings of Remco Evenepoel and Wout van Aert so far!
  3. Ugh, stupid intermediate sprint screwing a good breakaway attempt.
  4. Right, the attacking has started, let's see who will finally get non-climber Cosnefroy out of the climber's jersey
  5. Bouchard and Pironkova need wildcards?

  7. With 'big masses' I meant the people who casually watch some sports sometimes, not really people who follow tennis. Just your average Joe. Or Jürgen, in this case.
  8. No worries, I'm starting preparations at the end of the month and have already been in touch with our Grand Master from Ireland
  9. Well yes, his coaches and so on, but I mean there's no need for him to change plans to chase the biggest prizes in his sport just because the big masses think the Olympics is the main thing in every sport - which it simply isn't. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of these players skipping the Olympics, but don't have that much of a problem with it neither.
  10. Whether or not his reason is valid really is just a matter of opinion. "Austria doesn't have many other medal chances" certainly doesn't seem like a valid reason to go to the Olympics (after all, he'd go for himself, not the country), although that's of course also just an opinion.
  11. Not only Western, no. The Grand Slams are the major prizes in tennis, that's just how it is and how it's seen by most - except for someone like Monica Puig of course
  12. Also the first man to win the US Open final after losing the first two sets since 1949, for what it's worth.
  13. Which tournament is he planning to enter over the Olympics? Also, why would one not care about his titles in (in this case) the biggest events, just because he doesn't go to the Olympics? Plus what does Austria not having many medal chances have to do with that?
  14. And if they don't get it, there's always the combativity award, just make sure you're the only Frenchman in a lead group
  15. And none of them being fantastic time trialists (assuming Thomas isn't nearly what he was for a few weeks once), that's gonna be interesting indeed. Impressive stage wins by Ackermann, Yates and Van der Poel so far, especially Ackermann somehow finding a way within 10 centimeters in stage one was impressive (and a reason why sprints are dangerous, but fine )
  16. The 'Follow topic' button was selected as turned on by default after the last thread, but that should only mean following a topic right after posting there, since this button is right under the reply box. But yeah, it was annoying for a bit, until Sindo showed how to turn this following thing off in the settings (or at least turning off getting notifications of it).
  17. Yeah, thank the lord Richard Virenque isn't there anymore. Isn't he the confessed doper who's always been super welcome in the Tour de France whereas other, also confessed (but non-French) dopers have been banned to even get near it?
  18. The best climber would be the most deserving winner Which in my opinion is Pogacar, definitely not Hirschi. I've never been much of a fan of riders who always attack early just to get the points on the early climbs and that way go for the jersey, but I do like attackers who are actually able to make it to the end (like, indeed, Hirschi, but also Lutsenko or Alaphilippe).
  19. Considering he has been one of the main guys to fight for the overall win since long before the Tour even started, I highly doubt a secondary prize is anything more than just a sideshow for him
  20. Jungels being hit by an ambulance.
  21. Oh and Darryn Binder doing what Darryn Binder does. I'd say unbelievable, but it's Darryn Binder.
  22. Morbidelli is the 4th first-time winner in only six races so far this year, after Quartararo, Binder and Oliveira, what a fun season And first podium for Bagnaia as well
  23. Tiny bit surprising but mostly good to see everyone who was still on the bike finished inside the time limit
  24. Van Aert pulling apart the field on a major climb and then barely breathing during his cooldown in Bernal's wheel, Sky/Ineos is getting some lessons
