  1. Kasper Asgreen wins the first stage, I see potential for yet another Danish talent who'll quickly disappear into nothingness when he's not in the U23 categories anymore
  2. The African Team, Dimension Data, has signed Julien Vermote (BEL) from Quick-Step. Bad loss for them, Vermote has done some absolutely monstrous work during the Tour de France at the front of the peloton. Dan Martin moves to UAE.
  3. Not sure if it's the same for all European countries, but here Eurosport 1 is showing the 1st stage of the Tour de l'Avenir, the stage race for the world's very best talents Kristoffer Halvorsen is the main sprinter, 20-year old Egan Bernal of Colombia, who has had a very impressive season already, is the huge favourite for the GC win.
  4. And that's bad. Obviously more terror attacks are to be expected and even though every one is a shock, it's absolutely not a 'surprise'. Also 'counter attacks' are to be expected, against just as innocent people, and both of them are pure shit.
  5. The Dutch water polo team has become a huge hype in Taiwan apparently, because this photo has gone 'viral', leading to even national TV camera crews come and film their trainings and all their matches being completely sold out
  6. Apparently Robin van Galen is the coach of the Dutch men's water polo team in Taipei That's the guy who lead the women to Olympic gold in 2008
  7. Or USA being destroyed in volleyball, which suddenly makes sense when reading they've sent a Division 3 school team (two years ago I think)
  8. Absolutely. Plus incompetent people desperately wanted their own results system instead of the always perfectly functioning .sportresult.com website.
  9. People who think such a thing would be good have lost their mind. Victims that would be made there are just as innocent as victims in Brussels, Paris, Barcelona, London, Stockholm and so on and on.
  10. Men's Road Cycling UCI La Vuelta Ciclista a España 2017 Various Cities (ESP) - 19 August 2017 - 10 September 2017 Totallympics Results Thread
  11. The Lenzerheide venue in Switzerland has received IBU's A-license, which means they can now apply for World Cups and World Championships http://www.swiss-ski.ch/nc/leistungssport/biathlon/news/news-details/archive/2017/august/article/biathlon-arena-lenzerheide-erhaelt-ibu-a-lizenz.html
  12. Yes, but that's the problem: quite often countries don't use all their quota. For example a country might have qualified 5 athletes, but only send 3 or 4 to the Olympics, which would open up 1 or 2 places. For Sochi, those 'extra' places were given to countries who didn't have any quota yet, but for Pyeongchang, those quota will just disappear and the start lists will get smaller. That just makes no sense, I don't get why IBU doesn't want to keep the number of athletes at the same level (meaning you have to replace unused quota). Small nations in biathlon are extremely f*cked by this system: it was already incredibly hard to qualify as a small nation four years ago, now it's next to impossible unless you have one World Cup-level athlete.
  13. Eurosport has been airing commercials for this for a while now, but I have a feeling they're going to show exactly 0 seconds of action.. (same with archery for example)
  14. Next Saturday we'll see one fight that can be expected to be just fantastic: Terence Crawford vs Julius Indongo, with a grand total of 6 world titles on the line. Definitely cheering for Indongo, the way he beat Burns in April was fantastic
  15. Iranian former world champion Mohammad Ali Falahatinejad has died, aged 41. http://www.iwf.net/2017/08/17/mohammad-ali-falahatinejad-passed-away/
  16. Luckily swimming is only a technical sport and doping wouldn't help as much there.
  17. Yes, he is a true master in invisiblity in his races.
  18. See? That's already one quota not being used, why not give it to the next best non-qualified nation on the IBU points list?
  19. I think the kind of restaurant is just a coincidence. Apparently it's at the 'start' of the Ramblas, not because of which restaurants there are, but because that's simply the first place you'll hit when you attack like this.
  20. I still truly don't understand why unused quotas will not be reallocated (unlike in 2014), that's insanely stupid...and horribly frustrating for a certain Brazilian.
  21. A van hit the Ramblas in Barcelona, with many injured and probably several dead. Police is talking about a terrorist attack, so here we go again..
  22. Marcel Hirscher has broken his ankle http://sport.oe24.at/wintersport/Knoechelbruch-Schock-um-Marcel-Hirscher/295377317
  23. Cool, first time in my life I heard of this guy
