  15. not that the Italian team looks a lot better...we still have to send true "veterans" like Moelgg, Gross, Razzoli down the slopes because we only have a couple of decent slalom specialists...
  16. bronze medal finals (live right now)... but I think you need a good VPN to make it work...
  17. yes, he's Seb's son (he's already 21, however...I thought he was younger)...
  18. actually, it's been a disaster for quite a while now...since the last major update last autumn, they've gone back to the unwatchable 25 fps pictures... and their streams are having a lot of troubles all week long...it all started last sunday/monday when the tennis tournament in Melbourne opened the doors...I'm not following tennis, but it's all week that I'm reading they have a lot of worldwide troubles, with matches missing completely, others being cut at the beginning or at the end, picture quality lowering down every while... tbh, they are by far the worst sport OTT service among all those I normally use from a technical point of view... in this sense, they're not worth even the 25€ for 1 year I paid for on the last Black Friday (and I subscribed only because of the Olympics and because I fear they're going to heat up the price when the Olympics come)... luckily, I have a lotr of options thanks to my satellite dish and I can avoid using EuspPlayer and/or the Italian tv (rai)... you're lucky if you don't understand what they say... otherwise you wouldn't be so happy to follow almost any sport on that tv channel...
  19. and it's another day to remember for the Italian Snowboard... after Roland Fischnaller's second place in the PSL earlier this afternoon (consolidating his leading position in the Alpine Disciplines World Cup Standings), Italy just completed another "double" in Snowboardcross, with the Olympic Champion Michela Moioli dominating a very complicated race (long and difficult track + thick fog) among the girls (with also Raffaella Brutto on the podium, 3rd place for her at the end of the day) and Omar Visintin winning the men's event...
  20. Austria’s Thomas Steu suffers severe injury The Austrian Thomas Steu has broken his left tibia and fibula in a crash during training in Sigulda. His partner Lorenz Koller came away with bruising. As such, the season has ended early for the pair, who finished third in the overall World Cup and won two European Championship medals in Lillehammer. The news was announced in a press release by the Austrian Luge Federation (ÖRV). Steu and his partner Lorenz Koller also won World Championship bronze in 2019, along with World Championship silver for Austria in the team relay. After receiving first aid at the track, the 25-year-old from Vorarlberg was transported to hospital in Riga, where his ankle was repositioned and set during a 90-minute operation. It is not yet clear whether he injured any ligaments or tendons.
  21. awful day for Italy...not a single fighter reached the medal matches in Kumite...and a truly wasted chance for Semeraro to catch Quirici in the OQR, as the Swiss lost in her first match, meanwhile Semeraro lost in the pool final against Someya, who unfortunately lost her following fight in the semifinals, preventing thus the Italian to get into the repechage tree (and potentially reach the Bronze Medal final, which would have given our karateka a lot of points in the standings)... instead, she only made up about 30/40 points on the Swiss girl...

  24. for the joy of the home audience, the men's fight for the overall title seems to be an all-Hungarian (actually, an all-Liu family) affair... De Laat doesn't seem to have the right weapons against the Hungarian brothers, especially on the mid/longer distances and Elistratov doesn't look in his best shape...I don't think he can turn things around in tomorrow's races... meanwhile the women's Overall is only Schulting to lose...both the Italian main contenders, in fact, did some capital mistakes in 1 of today's 2 races and were beaten by the Dutch also in the other one...moreover, Valcepina won't be in the 1000m quarterfinals, which means that she mathematically doesn't have any chance to improve her score in that distance... only Fontana could try what would be an amazing comeback, but the chances are really slim, as Schulting now only need to control the Italian star in tomorrow's races to take the title home... good for Italy that we also did qualify both Relays to the "A" Final, even if I don't see the men going on the podium... the expectations are instead a lot higher among the girls, as ITA and NED should be well ahead of their continental rivals, if they don't make big mistakes...
  25. men's 5000m Relay Teams qualified to the "A" Final Netherlands Russia Italy Hungary
