  1. sorry, I'm not following that kind of shows... I only read about that on the newspapers... p.s. YT video is blocked, by the way (Mediaset is notorious for blocking immediately any online video with content from their networks/tv rights portfolio posted on public platforms like YT, Vimeo and so on)...
  2. if they were anything close to a "serious" institution, the IOC would have never included in the Olympic schedule that sh*t named Freestyle BMX, Skateboarding, Breakdance (from 2024), Trampolin Gymnastics or Surfing and they would also have already got rid of the absolutely not trustable Weightlifting and Boxing... and suddenly here you have your 400+ quotas and 30+ events cut... simple as it looks...
  3. here we go again (cit.)... Spanish police bust largest ever performance-enhancing drugs gang
  4. after South Korea at the last world champs, FINA haven't learned anything...
  5. the FINA website actually has March 22nd-29th as the date of the tournament, meanwhile on other sources (wiki, but not only them) have the one I wrote in my previous post... tbh, I'd rather trust FINA...so, I guess the correct date is March 22nd-29th...
  6. according to a few prestigious sources, it's basically confirmed (still, not official, but almost) that South Africa decided to take advantage of their "free quota" in both the men and women's Waterpolo Olympic tournaments in Tokyo... therefore, for what concerns the men's division, the final qualification tournament ( Rotterdam, March 29th-April 5th) will only award 3 spots... and it's confirmed that it will be a 12-team tournament (so far, only the 5 European sides / / / / and are officially confirmed as starters in this tournament...the remaining 6 teams however should be all from outside Europe, with more European teams -in ranking order- from the last ECH standing-by waiting for possible withdrawls of teams with priority)...
  7. according to a few prestigious sources, it's basically confirmed (still, not official, but almost) that South Africa decided to take advantage of their "free quota" in both the men and women's Waterpolo Olympic tournaments in Tokyo... therefore, for what concerns the women's division, the final qualification tournament ( Triest, March 8th-15th) will only award 2 spots... and it's confirmed that it will be a 12-team tournament with / / / / / (the only teams officially confirmed so far) and 6 more non European teams, with the remaining teams from the last European Championship (in ranking order) standing-by and waiting for possible withdrawals from those non-European teams with priority...
  8. both yesterday and today's women's DH trainings in Rosa Khutor (RUS) have been cancelled...and the weather forecast is awful also for the entire weekend... I fear we won't see any race also this time in Russia...
  9. well, I'm pretty sure that nobody in the men's department would get even close to this number (the current record holder is Alì Daei with 109 and the best in the list among active player is CR7 with 99)... a threat could only come in the next (but not near) future from another woman from a team of a Confederation where top teams can score multiple goals/game against really weak opponents (so, I'd exclude Europe...as here we don't see scores like 10-0 anymore also among the women)...
  10. tbh, that's not truly professional by her... but still...the best thing that could happen in her life... congrats and good luck!
  11. considering how short and not so crowded the indoor season usually is, I don't think it would be a problem to have both championships one following the other (for instance, they could schedule the Europeans at the end of January/beginning of February and the World Champs one month/40 days later... most (if not all) athletes don't plan to peak in any case, even for those kinds of events, during the Winter season, so it wouldn't be a real problem to show up in both of them...
  12. by the way, the title of this thread should be changed, as women's football is not at under-23 level...it's a true senior tournament...
  13. no, thanks... Winter Olympics are and must stay as the "Ice & Snow Sports" Olympics... and frankly, who cares if they are not as "global" as the Summer Games... it's not written anywhere that all the beautiful things of life must be "global"...
  14. not happy at all... the 16-team format was definitely the best one... now they're surely goin g to have some strange/unfair system that will make it less entertaining and exciting than the previous editions... and to be honest, there's also no need to expand the field of participants, as there are not even 16 Nations at about the same level in the world of Baseball...
  15. here is the live streaming of all races (only 3 fixed cameras, unfortunately)... https://www.biathlon.fans/?utm_source=Livestream&utm_medium=Website lenzerheide2020.ch&utm_campaign=Website lenzerheide2020.ch no idea if the sprints/pursuits will also have some real tv production...
  16. oh, dear! Tommaso Giacomel 5 errors and still 23rd and only 2.20 outside the gold medal time and Didier Bionaz, 3 errors and 8th and only 1.29 outside the gold medal time... what a wasted chance!
  17. well, I guess that all the Olympic Qualifiers scheduled in the next few Months originally awarded to China will be moved elsewhere... and I think it would be a good and safe decision...
  18. yes, that's interesting... and I wonder how we always missed out on that particular point before today? however, it's still a good thing to take notice of the "virtual" Continental qualifiers because if those athletes (or someone else from the same Country) don't get the spot through the final tournament, we already know who's in pole position to get this last chance place... and as I expected, now Italy have the repechage spot thanks to Maresca instead of the direct qualification spot of Crescenzo in the men's kumite -67kg... good to see that we can still keep our 5 virtual places (like Turkey and Iran), the most of the entire field of candidates... also surprising to see Iran with 3 women's virtual spots and only 2 among the men...
  19. just a reminder... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Winter_Olympics " The Games featured 102 events over 15 disciplines. A total of 2,914 athletes from 92 NOCs competed, including the national debuts of Ecuador, Eritrea, Kosovo, Malaysia, Nigeria and Singapore." the Final Medal Table (30 of the 92 competing NOCs won at least 1 medal...and it came out of "only" 102 events) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Winter_Olympics_medal_table
  20. please, can you also give a look at the Continental places? I feel there could be some major changes in that department...
  21. she doesn't have any chance to qualify through OQR in any case... she has to rely on the final OQT next May in paris...
  22. well, she's never been so slim... by the way, since when she came back from pregnancy, she's always looked a bit overweight more than before... no idea why she broke in tears at the award ceremony...maybe she was just emotional because it was quite some time she didn't get such kind of result...
  23. I'm totally shocked... one of my favourite athletes all time, pound for pound... the accident happened a couple of hours ago in Calabasas, California...the helicopter he was flying with crashed and took fire, leaving no chance to Kobe and the other members of the crew (apparently there are 4 more deads other than Kobe)...
  24. no, I can't see her name in the -55kg draw, the only Polish girl in that class was Natalia Szponder (she lost in rd #1 against Lorena Busà)...
  25. 2020 Grand Prix (Tel Aviv, ISR) Day #2 Recap Finally, in the last day of the Tel Aviv GP, the Home Nation hit the headlines and won 2 of the last 5 weight categories thanks to their big men (Peter Paltchik, -100kg and Or Sasson, +100kg)... the 3rd and last men's event from today instead was won by South Korea (Gwak Dong Han, -90kg) and this also gave the Asians the final victory in the medal table... the last 2 women's Gold Medals, on the other hand, went to Great Britain (Natalie Powell, -78kg) and France (Romane Dicko, +78kg)... the final Medal Table, as written before, was won by South Korea with 3 Gold Medals, followed by Great Britain, Israel and Japan with 2 Gold Medals each... Australia, Slovenia, Italy, France and Russia completed the list of Gold Medal winners with one Gold Medal each... Full Results http://www.ippon.org/gp_isr2020.php Day #3 Medal Session Replay
