The Pioneers win the 10th national title in program history behind a 35-save shutout from goalie Matt Davis. Two quick second period goals was all the offense Davis and the Pioneers needed, as he made impressive save after impressive save to keep the talent-laden Boston College offense quiet. Jared Wright scored the first goal of the game around the midway point of the second period, then Rieger Lorenz followed with a brilliant goal of his own just 5:34 seconds later. Game Highlights

  15. as I wrote, I think they would make it a 17-man weight in Paris, but with the man in charge, the 1976 Fencing Olympic Champion himself, we can't just take it for granted...he's well capable to force the UWW to keep the number as in the original plan and this would only mean that they have to take 1 qualifying place away from the list...it's alway's the IOC last word that counts
  16. sorry, I forgot that there are still 2 world cup events that might change the OQR, I thought it ended this week
  17. men's 10m Air Pistol Shooters qualified to the Final Philipp Grimm () Uladzislau Dzemesh Viktor Bankin Valeriy Rakhimzhan Lee Daemyung Yusuf Dikec Nilo Federico Maldini Kim Cheongyong
  18. the most obvious outcome and then, a 17-man weight class at the Olympics...it's just 1 man and 1 match more than expected and it's a decision that would save the ass of the whole wrestling sport let's see if the IOC does accept that or if UWW is forced to cut a quota place from the last OQT
  19. just asking myself why in this competition are there people that already achieved the qualification (and therefore can't get any other quota place) and/or why tare there those mixed team events that don't award any quota place? nor those events award points for the OQR/WR, therefore are absolutely useless for those who are not in the hunt for a quota place and actually only make a lot of confusion
  20. mixed Team Air Pistol Gold: Turkey (Sevval Ilayda Tarhan & Yusuf Dikec) Silver: Ukraine 2 (Yuliia Isachenko & Oleh Omelchuk) Bronze: Japan (Satoko Yamada & Seiji Morikawa) Final Ranking and Results https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/csevent.ashx?cseventid=19483
  21. gotta get rid of that farce named Refugee Team, where actually no athletes are true refugees (especially those involved in the combat sports)

  24. it will never happen...they couldn't build one in 20 years when the team was in town, imagine how much the Community would like to spend billions into a new arena with no more teams in the area moreover, there's absolutely no need for another expansion team...32 is more than enough, or the level of play is gonna go down to a non-return point the only thing Buttman must do is to relocate a team to Quebec City...the NHL deserves the Nordiques back!
