Not really excited about the Oscars this year, like i have been in the prior ones. There is something about this years films that just don't click with me. Not one really stood out for me to root for it. And there are many little things in a bunch of them that keep me from caring. The one thing that i'm certain though, is that Ali doesn't deserve to get a second Oscar in such a short time, while in history, there have been so many all time greats, that barely got one, and some never did...

A lot of the BDO players are trying in the Q-School this year. McGeeney and Jamie Hughes earned a Tour Card after the first 2 days. Durrant is also there, but had 2 early loses. I don't know if he was overconfident after the third Lakeside trophy.. Other notable names include Waites, Jim Williams, Dobromyslova, Ashton, Fallon Sherrock.

Kobayashi is a real mystery for me. In the beginning of the season i thought he just had a string of good jumps and his form will disappear in a few rounds like every prior japanese jumper. But the guy just keeps winning. And the 4-Hills, once the hardest event to win, he just breezed through. Or maybe, this is the weakest ski-jumping season i have watched. When i look at the final 4-Hills and the overall World Cup standings, it's like there are no stars anymore. As if the big names from the last 4-5 years have all disappeared and the mediocre jumpers are now picking up the pieces..
