  1. In a shocking twist of events, Suzuki are set to quit MotoGP at the end of the season.
  2. Very close for Ronnie to equal Stephen Hendry's record 7 World Titles (in the modern era). I don't know what has happened to Trump the last few days. He should have lost to Mark Williams in the 1/2 already, after blowing up a 12-5 lead, to go to a deciding frame.
  3. Looking through twitter on this, most Brits say they've jailed the wrong Boris. Surprisingly people there seem to agree, that jail is too harsh for Becker. Should have just asked Djokovic for a favor.
  4. Votes are in, i have done my duty and just in time before our Easter holidays here.
  5. Секешфехервар Not that hard, i think we had some BG football players at their club, and also the athletics meeting there. Second one is harder, i'm not sure exactly on the pronunciation, will have to check it.
  6. A lucky break for the second group, as Ganna had a flat, which led Sky/Ineos putting on the brakes at the front and the gap is halfed. Ganna though looked very impressive in the catch up. As expected it's already chaos and we barely hit the paves.
  7. Windy day at Roubaix leading to a 2 peloton split with WVA, MVDP, Asgreen and Mads Petersen in the second group. Time to slightly panic for the big favourites.
  8. The staging usually elevates the songs, but i agree that we have hit the bottom this year (yes, i probably say this every year). I was very underwhelmed with 2021 too before the shows, but then i flipped my opinion after seeing the performances live. Don't know right now, if this year can be saved though. I hate how much more political everything has become with Eurovision the last couple of years. Ukraine winning twice in six editions out of pity is going to be underwhelming. Only good outcome i see is Spain winning after over half a century, or Italy making the double, which hasn't happened in 30 years, which in modern times is unimaginable, as their 2 songs are the most stand-out ones.
  9. Poland hosting a volleyball tournament, no, i am shocked.
  10. BULGARIA DARA - Thunder No surprises, that the retro 80s disco sound dominated the pop scene here as well in the last year. I wasn't keen on adding such a song, as people are probably tired of the sound by now, and had a dilemma between this and another more traditional song. But given that my last few more specific bulgarian songs didn't translate that well, i thought i'd go more mainstream this time. Time to out-Weeknd The Weeknd Lyrics in the video, as per the title
  11. BG will be here We are packing bags and are about to leave for home soon, so everything should be ok for tonight. I have 4-5 songs on my mind and given that there aren't many songs in english this time, maybe i will choose one of them
  12. I'm on a family trip the whole week, but i will try to post a song on sunday night, when i'm back home.
  13. Bulgaria is going to replace Russia in this years Women's Nations League. We are going to host one of the week rounds as well. Who is going to replace Russia on the men's side is yet to be decided.
  14. Subpar results always seem to happen. Nikolova losing the final was a big blow. Selishka while not a clear favourite had still a 50-50 chance, but lost another final yet again. I think this is her third lost Euro final... Georgieva in a category with only 6 people didn't even manage to get a bronze. Then you have Belberova at 53, who i've lost count on how many big Championships has competed in and never manages to win a single match.
  15. I never expected to see such a brain freeze from Pogacar. Completely idiotic decision. Being the strongest rider and then almost stopping 400 m before the end, with MVDP known for short exploding sprints and people coming in full speed. What was he expecting to happen... Unreal how MVDP managed to hang on Paterberg though.
  16. May the Swiatek era be longer and prosper
  17. I have an idea why the host team isn't in the opening match. Because there are 4, FOUR fricken matches in a day and the host can't play at damn noon. Of course they'd want to play in the evening, when it would be more convenient for the home fans. Prepare in 2026 to have matches from 10 in the morning till midnight. Damn fools..
  18. I like more sports before the Opening Ceremony, because i can watch them, before the clusterfuck starts. I don't like though, that we now have 3 days of swimming and athletics colliding... It was usually only 1 day, where swimming was only an hour with the last few finals. They are even at the same time in both sessions.. Weightlifting in the last 5 days is interesting. Usually the schedule is more free by that time, so it could be for the better, though taekwondo is also bunched then. Wrestling with 2 hour morning sessions and then 4 hour final sessions is a choice. I would have preferred the finals to start 2 hours earlier and not collided with everything in the 20-23 hour period. Team Sports very heavy in the beginning, which is expected with group stages, but i think Tokyo had a more balanced schedule. Will see what happens, the more we get closer to the Games.
  19. Fun groups at first glance, only thing missing is Italy France and England with the luck.
  20. 3 womens finals from the expected trio Nikolova, Yusein and Selishka. Don't know what has clicked in Evelina Nikolova, but after the Tokyo bronze, she is a completely new wrestler. Calm, confident, clinical, no wonder UWW has taken notice and had her as the poster woman. Straight wins in Dan Kolov, Yasar Dogu, a final here with ease. They even gave her the nickname "Pinolova", as she won 6 out of her last 7 matches with falls, 2 at the Euros so far, and 4/5 at Yasar Dogu. Still needs to prove it against the Asians and Maroulis though. Too bad the rest, didn't do anything above their usual performance, it was a perfect opportunity with the lack of competition at this Euro.
  21. Nooooooooo Oh man, this is so sad.. Myself, like many others, have scratched their heads on why Bruce was doing all those straight to dvd/video/streaming/Target action films given his pedigree, but in retrospective, it was probably the right decision for him. Nevertheless an ICON of film in the last 40 years.
  22. Can't believe people think this is real. It is desperately scripted for attention and ratings as Hollywood gets. Chris Rock's face wasn't even red after the "slap". He did a classic wrestling move to sell the punch before Smith even "reached" him. And if it was real, Smith would have shouted in his face right there, not walk back to his seat, wait for Rock to say his line and then yell. It is more funny in hindsight, after his crying speech afterwards "I'm all for the love, i'm all for the love". Cumberbatch robbed again. Though he was in a subpar film, his performance was top notch and out if this bunch should have won easily. Guess Smith and his poison wife can feast now, as their crusade, started 5-6 years ago is finally reached and mediocre actor Will got what he wanted. The few bright things, very, very happy for the CODA wins, The Godfather, Bond, Pulp Fiction tributes/reunions, Billie Eilish No Time To Die win, Kevin Costner, Anthony Hopkins presenting aaaand Dune (i guess), though tech categories were so empty this year. The bar for hosts has been lowered so much, that even their stupid jokes and politics were cringer than usual. Long gone are the elegant and cinematic ceremonies of Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, or even Hugh Jackman, when he hosted.
  23. Amazing end to the season as always in Planica. Fantastic Slovenia, from the jumpers to the fans
  24. Belarus played an U21 qualifying match against Cyprus yesterday.
  25. I listed the teams i prefered qualifying If i have to do it with the African playoffs, i prefere DR Congo, Algeria, Tunisia, Nigeria and Senegal qualifying. So this probably won't help Algeria much
