    Russia doing very well so far. Could we see a shock win over favorites Japan and China (and the US).

    Australia is always a favourite in a free relay. And you lost the silver with just a fraction, even with a questionable form of some swimmers. For me, any European nations that beats them in a free relay should consider it a huge success.

    This should be the goal for every small nation in their future Olympic planning. Find one sport and put everything in it. Kosovo will probably not do anything significant in any other sport, but with 2 Golds in judo, they will be in front of much bigger nations, who would be lucky to get 1 title.

    Yeah, very sad these two had to meet this early and we had to lose one of them. Out of all the players they were my faves (along with Georgi). Lot's of surprises in this tennis tournament, we could be going to a random winner again, like Puig.

    Interesting that our most famous football commentator, who doesn't commentate any other sport is the one doing the Canoe Slalom for Eurosport. I don't think i have ever been more interested in Canoe Slalom, the guy really is great and brings up the interest.

    Well deserved win for Castaneda over Petrova. Awful positioning, lapse of concentration, gassed by the end, the usual disappointment by Petrova in the last 3-4 years.

    Continental preferences have traditions in boxing refereeing. Europe judges rule more favorably to European boxers, Asian ones to Asian boxers and so on. You can look a quick breakdown in a few matches with split decisions to find the trend.
