  1. I can remember some really specific details from that day. I remember that the sister went out before the ceremony ended. After the ceremony I remember being with our family cat and thinking how interesting it is that Bhutan competes only in archery (as the commentators suggested). After that there was a big storm in the evening.
  2. Btw, AIA is the country code of Anguilla, not AGL. So it should be :AIA.
  3. Btw, that was the day when I became Olympic lover. It was a hot summer day when my sister and I started to watch this very impressive ceremony. And the rest is history.
  4. Not exactly yet, 14:08 CET. Time when I indeed plan to rewatch the ceremony.
  5. And of course Lončarek is first under the line among the fastest losers.
  6. Tuvalu can, and they are smaller + middle of nowhere.
  7. Second race of the day, and the commentators have already managed to come to a subject of Usain Bolt...
  8. So much for those sayings about Canada being PG13. They are creating a horror show for Botswana.
  9. And the inning ends with 15:0. All Canadians made a hit.
  10. Canada leads Botswana 13:0 in the 1st... With 1 out... Weather conditions are making everything worse for .
  11. New Zealand has named its eventing team. Still gutted that Clarke Johnstone had to be scratched. Still, not a bad team (as if any team with Jonelle Price could be considered bad), however there are some unexpected selections. They chose McClaren for Mark Todd? One could argue that's his 4th best horse, or at least 3rd! His nominally better horses have been named as reserves. Blyth and Dan are not bad (hell, Blyth was an Olympic champion), but still I can see them bringing troubles to NZ based on current form.
  12. When I saw "Loch" part I already thought it was Loch Ness.
  13. Interesting to point out how Greece hasn't qualified in women's 470 since 2004 (when they won gold).
  14. Then blame IOC for supporting colonialism. If the rules haven't been changed, then I'm sure Anguilla would be in the Olympic family.
  15. Well, still slower than Koch and Goehr.
