  1. Unfortunately we've already got our volunteers, I'll take them 2 as my picks though.
  2. I'll pick North Macedonia and Latvia for the festival.
  3. FIL have done this in the hope that the conflict ends by the start of the season, can see them being banned again once most of the athletes refuse to compete in WC events.
  4. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1121647/russia-successful-appeal-against-fil Russia have won their first appeal against sporting bans in the sport of luge. I fear this is the first of many bans that will get overturned. I can see a lot of sports that get their bans overturned in disarray as most athletes will refuse to compete alongside their Russian counterparts.
  5. How come each division are separated into 2 groups, surely all teams are good enough to compete in 1.
  6. Great Britain After much deliberation I have decided to give arguably GB's favourite ginger Ed Sheeran the honour of representing us in the 2022 International Song Contest with his song Shivers. Everyone on the GB jury would like to wish all participating countries the best of luck. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Il0S8BoucSA
  7. I've thought of a couple, will have it up by tomorrow at the latest. If you have any song suggestions PM them to me and I'll consider them.
  8. Out of the results I've seen on this forum in recent months, have been putting in some good results and medalling quite a bit in cadet, junior and senior events. Maybe Fencing could be a bit of a medal trove for us in future Olympics.
  9. Worded what I said wrong. I know he hasn't been stripped but he most likely will be, that's what I meant when saying what I did. Apologies for the misinformation. Edit: The post has now been worded correctly.
  10. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1121453/kazakhstan-weightlifting-positives The doping never ends. Yet another athlete most likely being stripped of their Olympic medal, this time from Tokyo. How this sport is still on the programme amazes me.
  11. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1121453/kazakhstan-weightlifting-positives Igor Son will most likely be stripped of his bronze medal from Tokyo after a second positive test of his career. A further 5 lifters tested positive including world and youth world champions and medalists.
  12. I could also see them giving Squash it's long awaited Olympic debut. It's quite popular in France so finding a venue wouldn't be hard and it's got a solid ranking system with all continents represented at least once in the top 40 in both men's and women's divisions.
  13. If a sport does get removed will they have time to add a new one?
  14. Will be watching the WDF World Championships which starts tomorrow on Eurosport and ends on 10th. Hopefully they'll be a better competition to the PDC than the BDO were in it's later years.
  15. Been really impressed with the results of the British fencers in these championships, the future looks bright.
  16. I feel as the situation escalates in Ukraine federations and organisations like Fina and the multiple Tennis ones will have no choice but to revert their decision on letting Russian and Belarusian athletes from competing.
  17. Cheers for that. Do you think it's more than likely that they'll be banned from stuff like the World Cup events until further notice?
  18. Have the ISSF said anything regarding the banning of Russian and Belarusian competitors? Feel it looks really bad on them if they haven't since most sports have done so.
  19. British Swimming have said they support a ban on Russia and Belarus from all aquatics competition and said it will be withdrawing from any events currently due to be held in Russia or Belarus. That includes the 2022 Fina Short Course Championships and the 2024 European Championships that are both currently scheduled to be held in Kazan, Russia. https://t.co/hWXeRw8qHJ.
  20. A lot of the Western European nations are only playing 1 match then forfeiting, only really Russian and Korean fencers left.
