Well..... Whatever CHN is doing seems working.they are getting less than 50 cases Also South Korea also seems to be reducing cases ..... Italy had announced a quarantine lockdown for northern Italy : hope it works , high time and possibly can bring new cases down........ I think if IRI can push the cases down..... We may see a reduction of corona..... Currently 2/3 of the cases are just in two countries..... I think if airport testing and push for rapid testing of chain of infection cases works for the other countries we can really get control

KAZ and UZB have been the top two boxing nations globally in mens for the last few years ….. so it is not suprising they have mostly made it to the top 4 here …... I think KAZ seems to be close to having a perfect mens tournament till now and possibly all 8 may qualify , UZB has already surprisingly lost 2 already and could have just 5 out of 8 into semis , china have never been too good at mens ( they have dominated the womens )... they may just end up with 2-3 in the semis

well essentially each judge scores on 1) no of reasonably strong blows in the target area 2) Technical and Tactical superiority …… The first is reasonably objective but the second is somewhat subjective ( the amateur preference is for the typical Cuban dance style - Light on feet , quick hands, movement of head ) there can be deductions for technical infringements ……. In the Mousavi Vs Taglatihan fight …… I think it was a reasonably even fight on punches scored Mousavi won rd 1 and Rd 2 , Taglathian rd 3...…. but technically I think the Chinese boxer was superior ….. Mousavi just lunges and then gets into the clinch ( rather than the technical hit and dance back ) ……. I feel the overall fight was really close ….. so not one of those real outright steals we used to see under AIBA and in fact I feel the judging of the Asian qualifiers have been reasonably good till now

Well the first bout was 4-1 for IND.... Which was reasonable..... Maybe just the 10-8 was a bit unreasonable..... I would have given it 10-9 for ashish...... Which was the average in any case

But Ashish really thrashed muskita so good.... This was just so one sided......I think I would have given the bout 30-24 or maybe 30-25 myself......

Have to disagree … Always the best must be sent …. Because they finally will medal if they are the best …………... For example Kavinder Vs Gaurav ….. I think Gaurav is the better boxer …… great flow and clean lines ……. kavinder is over defensive , over uses the shell guard , will never get past a good boxer Gaurav may not have got thru Mirazez but he was close and I am sure will get thru at the world qualifier …….. at the Olympics he is a medal prospect but kavinder even if he got thru here will not be a medal prospect

The Syrian boxer was not hotstuff..........Naman is such a poor boxer in such a class squad.... ?..... I really do not understand it.... The guy does not have a straight jab....I stopped watching the bout halfway...

Happy to say as of right now.... India have all 13 still boxing....... I think we now are the only nation to be able to say that ..... Considering that Asia are a dominant force in boxing that is super cool ? ..... I feel at least till quarters we will have 12/13 .....

I saw this bout... It was close, I felt that Aus did win a close fight..... It was the first very close UZB bout I have seen in the last couple of years that UZB has lost ( Under UZB presdent ) ...... So definitely feel this non AIBA led qualifier had been far fairer than earlier AIBA led events ??

Can they do an Asian tournament before the world qualifier at the same time..... It might be brutal for the losers than to continue on to the world's...... But any other means seems stupid as the ranking in wrestling is very arbitrary

Women.... Hugely talented squad all are in qtrs except Mary Mary kom...51 ... World legend.....6 time world champion, current bronze medallist in 51 ...Seeded second... Has two bouts but is facing a relatively easy draw...should qualify fairly easily..... Sakshi 57 ....twice youth gold medallist 2017, 2018.....is young . Has won against the 4th seed THA... was not really fluid..... And possibly a bit lucky to win..... Faces Aeji of KOR.... Aeji was fairly fluid but I think Sakshi would win Simranjit 60 ....2018 world bronze... Faces second seed MGL .......can win I feel as I feel Namuun is not that great a boxer.... But may be close... Lovlina... 69 ...2018 ,.2019 world bronze, seeded second should win one bout as has an easy draw... Pooja....75 ...current Asian champ 2019 ...Seeded 4th ... Has just one bout against unknown THA should win.... Should have 4-5 qualifiers after that the real work would start I think
