  1. I personally thought it was a cool idea to have the arms in yellow and red, leaving green in the middle as a fun way to represent the flag.
  2. Happy to see Hammerschmidt back on the snow Let's hope for good results so she can find her way back into the A team. Also, only four Lithuanians starting tomorrow, that's pretty sad. We are definitely capable to put 4 in the men's race at least, don't know why we didn't.
  3. This should be a link to look at the pictures of Lithuania's suits. https://www.lofficiel.lt/vyrai/biatlonas?fbclid=IwAR3zQhlu2E80bGxymKLe1w3KcFjrLWDQ5RJUAKGXONwEEBu3bsoJVLKJIvA
  4. Karin Oberhofer was doing fine and didn't get a chance before her retirement. Alexia Runggaldier had issues with health as far as I know, was trying to make a comeback, but not many chances taken on her either. Italy doesn't like to send full squads.
  5. I fully expect Sweden to be the nation that has the best shooting scores this season. They shot really well last year.
  6. Persson is fairly decent, not far off from what Brorsson can do. Hoegberg is definitely better than Nilsson, by a lot. Elvira is an unknown quantity though, her IBU cup results haven't been anything to brag about, but can't deny that she might have matured well during the off-season to earn that spot as a young prodigy.
  7. I see the whole "fuck Hoegberg" schtick is on this year as well. Sweden never disappoints.
  8. Could Italy borrow us those two spots in the World Cup? Oh wait, we don't have more than two women that are eligible to start in the World Cup
  9. Not gonna lie, I read it as 'cartoon rifle' the first two times and tried to figure out what is so special about this black rifle to make it cartoon-ish
  10. Well, I already stated my case and I won't moan any longer, if the majority of the forum sees it fit, then so be it. The forum is slowly progressing. Off-topic conversations are no longer being deleted or moved to other threads, so there's hope
  11. Creativity is very subjective. It's not only pictures and GIFS, we have plenty of creative users in this forum. So saying that he has the creativity of nearly all of us combined is a bit too far-fetched.
  12. Seriously, do I need to go on, guys? I've never doubted bestmen's ability to put on a show, because he has the skills. Although, people skills is not one of them, which is why he is not suited.
  13. Nah, I'm in no way against you putting a bid of your own, there's only three people in this forum that I wouldn't want to see bidding: mr. emotions, mr. doping from Germany and the last representative from India.
  14. The only thing that I like about bestmen is that I never have to prove my point, because his reactions to what I write are self-explanatory.
  15. Honestly, I can't believe we're even discussing the idea of @bestmen getting the rights to host the contest. It is a contest about people getting together and spending a good time with music, yet he is even insulting other potential hosts in this thread. As much as I love both the members behind the USA bid, I really couldn't name another user other than @dcro that deserves the hosting rights more at this point. This statsman has been through it all. If bestmen actually wins, I am pretty sure we will come to regret this due to his emotional instability.
  16. As @dcro already mentioned, one of the biggest factors of laser shooting in biathlon is the fact that the wind would not affect the beam. More technical shooters and athletes that read the wind conditions well would be punished with this change. There would no longer be fun in Oberhof and things like the Belgian relay being in first place after two exchanges would rarely happen. The coaches that enthusiastically run with boards to show where the shots have landed would run with less enthusiasm. Gontier would go up higher than 40% accuracy in the relays and a lot of other narratives would be lost.
  17. Sidenote, this whole Biathlon Manager Game would probably offer a lot more diversity if the teams would consist of 1 athlete from 1-6 nation cup pool, 1 athlete from 6-11, 1 athlete for 11-16, 17-21, 21 and upwards. This would prioritise some reseach on smaller nations for your pick. Granting 6 athletes from the Top 10 doesn't leave much to the imagination and I see a lot of similar teams going into this as JTB/Fourcade is probably a must for every team and the biggest diversity point is going to be Vittozzi over Wierer, because you can't have both. Edit: sorry, I'm not good at reading today, 3 athletes in total, not 3 men and 3 women.
  18. I'm a pretty lazy fella when it comes to stuff like this hence, why the Biathlon World Championship prediction contest is the only one I enter at all during the year, gave up on Athletics, Swimming, Nordic champs, Basketball and Football during the years
  19. Don't mind me. I don't know where I got that 24th from
  20. Only five days left. This year flew by really fast.
  21. Seeing Strolia and Dombrovski at 6th and 11th in the B group seemed like pretty good news. I fully expected a middle of the pack performance even amongst weaker athletes. Pursuits are contestable probably.
  22. Vytautas Strolia 36th in the Norwegian championship. Hard to say if it's a promising result, 32nd course time among some really good athletes and also beat Guiggonat, Windisch, Hofer and Moravec in the standings, so perhaps he won't be a pushover in Ostersund. Our junior Linas Banys in 61st looks in a much better shape than last year, especially since he demolished Karol from the A team whom finished 84th. Other than that, Fomin finished 89th whilst Romanov, Jakeliūnas and Mačkinė ended in 126th, 127th and 129th, watch out IBU cup, we're coming and we're ready. Not too eager to discuss the girls when Leščinskaitė manages to be +3.35.4 behind Vittozzi with a 0+1 shooting score.
  23. Lithuanian swimmer Smiltė Plytnykaitė is breaking all of the u13 records that Meilutytė had set. Perhaps someone to watch out for the future? 1:12.28 in 100m Breaststroke (25m pool) from the 1:13.65 that belonged to Rūta. She also holds the records for 50m breaststroke and the 100m medley as well. Interesting to see where all of it will go in a couple of years.
  24. Yup, time runs fast. We've already had 13 TISCS if I'm not mistaken and I've spent a third of my life at Totallympics since I joined before I was even 18 There was once a Totallympics without TISC. Dark times. Dark times indeed.
  25. The page used to load more than 200 Youtube thumbnails at once, which had led to freezes and restarts, so I got what I needed out of that history once and never looked back since If I am not mistaken, it's a bit more computer friendly nowadays.
