  1. Looks like the belief that will do well in odd-numbered year WC is in danger now
  2. Tamberi scaring the shit out of the commentator
  3. The sole competitor for actually competed after all. She’s the best hurdler we have right now, since Emilia Nova (2018 Asian Games silver medalist) is still finding her form after repeated injuries
  4. Just realized they used old Myanmar flag in the stadium
  5. For the individual sports the organizers be like: "You have eyes right? Go watch it yourself"
  6. Really wondered whether the only registered athlete (women's 100m H) will actually compete or not. She's already took a flight to China with the whole team for Asian Games training camp hosted by the Chinese association
  7. Hmmm somehow it gives a vibe that it's designed by NASA (the ribbon with stars strengthen that vibe)
  8. Apparently the ceremony is delayed for a day due to heavy rain
  9. Hmmm stream and local TV channels are not showing the ceremony, I wonder what is happening
  10. Kinda forgot that East Asian Youth Games 2023 in Mongolia is starting in a few days
  11. Yeah we often do not participate or send minimum effort teams to WCh That’s why the media is always clueless, every other World Cup Series the mainstream media headlines will be something like: “INDONESIAN SPEED CLIMBERS SWEEPS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS” and the poor readers start to “correct” people who said that World Cups are just a circuit tournament
  12. Hangzhou to host BWF World Tour Finals until 2026
  13. Crying panda! But I still prefer a crying bear
  14. The closing ceremony is too joyful for me, or maybe I'm just getting old and cranky
  15. Reminds me of omnium events during UCI Track Nations Cup in Indonesia. 90% of the crowd have no idea about track cycling, so they do not understand at all what is the difference of scratch/points/tempo and why this should be exciting. But elimination race is very intuitive and the crowd easily engage with the race (even cheering for the Hong Kong rider who barely survived elimination for 3 or 4 consecutive times). When the points race started, quite a lot of people went back home
  16. Well long wait for Indonesian WC medal is still ongoing, anyways happy for securing our first quota
  17. I went to the Indonesia leg of FIBA World Cup trophy tour. A bit uncommon choice of venue, a hard to access open plaza with a giant Freedom Monument as the backdrop. There are better and more iconic places than here. By the time I arrived, there are only around 10-15 people, maybe as the sun sets more people will come.
  18. What’s happening in Berlin? Kim Woo Jin shooting a 3 ?
  19. We had an invitational tournament in the FIBA World Cup venue as a preparation to the Asian Games and probably as a consolation to the national team which failed to qualify to the World Cup. Syria and UAE are invited, where they will play with Indonesian senior and junior team. By the first day, a lot of drama has happened. First match on 4 PM was originally Indonesia A vs Syria, but 2 hours before the match it became Indonesia A vs Indonesia B because the Syrian team just arrived less than 24 hours before the match. Syrian team played UAE later in the evening and the organizers played Saudi anthem for the UAE team. Obviously they protested and requested to play the correct anthem, but the organizers weren't able to do it so the Emiratis were asked to sing their own anthem aloud
  20. snatched the gold from in badminton mixed team!
  21. People messaging me saying "look at what happened", and I replied "What? we were beaten by " Took me quite a while the women's team beat in the process of reaching top 8
  22. No, it’s because our national TV often cuts to “live video games competition” during this World Champs and my aunt shared a stream of CCTV as an alternative. Indeed they often cut podiums and rebroadcast it later (plus lots of ads), but that’s better than showing 30 to 45 minutes of the competition each evening before abruptly showing something that is barely can be called a sport.
  23. Japan Open Super 750 Results Menʻs Singles 1. Viktor Axelsen 2. Jonatan Christie 3/4. Lakshya Sen 3/4. Kodai Naraoka Womenʻs Singles 1. An Se-young 2. He Bingjiao 3/4.
