  1. Daleman with another crash in short-track...
  2. I noticed the Korean announcement during the medal ceremony specifically asked the spectators to stand up during the anthems. But almost everyone immediately exited the venue after no South Korean is getting a short track medal today.
  3. I have another teammate vs I have the "home advantages"
  4. Mahalini - Sial (Bad Luck) [English translation available on CC of the video] Ni Luh Ketut Mahalini is a singer from Bali who is trending among young listeners in Indonesia. Her songs about love extremely popular, with four of them gathering over 100 million streams on Spotify (including this song). She placed fifth in the 10th season of Indonesian Idol held in 2019.
  5. It's pretty annoying we aren't allowed to see them in action....
  6. "Republic of Korea versus Republic of China now" Looks like the short track commentator will get into trouble
  7. Sssshhh they are bringing the needed views to flex for youth engagement
  8. Very meh, looks like they focused too much to the LED cauldron outside
  9. The call is correct in Korean, the problem on the field is they did not make sure the flagbearers are ready to go in the intended order. The mess started from South Africa (the Dutch flagbearer is marching instead of them)
  10. Yeah they can take examples from SEA Games hosts (where the participation is around 5k-6k athletes) starting to use regional hosting rather than focusing everything in one city/metropolitan area. Philippines (2019) and Vietnam (2021) spread the sports in 5 to 6 provinces. Using readily available hotel rooms instead of building a centralized athletes village is also already a norm in the Games.
  11. This is so devastating. Down with the current IOC!
  12. Too bad now nickel production will be impacted....
  13. Badminton technically gives 'neutral athletes' 2 months to qualify (if BWF is actually true to its words). And realistically only 2 Russians can qualify (one each in men's singles and women's singles) from that limited time frame, Belarus does not care about this sport.
  14. Gorbachev reincarnated and ready to bring glasnost-perestroika to Indonesia
  15. Dang just realized this, yes yes you’re right a lot of people did complain that Musica (the music studio) sometimes upload botched MV. I prepare this song from Spotify and didn’t really check the full MV lol Lesson learned
  16. Well thank you @Olympian1010for posting the “finale” I was convinced I will have time to post the votes during the car commute between destinations, it turned out I talked too much with our Thai driver and forgot the whole thing. Thank you for the votes!
  17. And expect Indonesians starting to pay more attention to Dutch politics, especially after Wilders once said that Indonesians were the ones who should apologize to NL because of those battles happened in 1945-1950 (and ofc criticizing Rutte’s apology on the same topic)
  18. Just to let you know, at that time I'm on my way to an "early" vacation in Thailand... So I won't be able to post the votes by myself
  19. Sen Masao - Kitaguni no Haru Kitaguni no Haru released in 1977 is one of the most popular enka songs in Japan. The song was covered by various singer in the Sinosphere under various title. This song is a very special song to my late father, although what he listened to is a cover version in Chinese called Rong Shu Xia (Under the Banyan Tree) by Yu Tian [see spoiler] and he is unaware that the song is originally a Japanese song . I'm choosing the original version for the sake of giving homage to the original singer. Since I was a kid I listened to this a lot because my father would play the CD early in the morning and maybe this is one of the factors that gave me a soft spot for Japanese enka/Korean trot (and perhaps contributing to my music taste). My father was hospitalized a few years back due to brain hemorrhage and passed away within a month. Before his passing, I brought a music player and played this tune a few times whenever I visited him in the hospital. Well... it certainly brings back memories and I will be glad if you liked this too.
  20. In Indonesia, it's called bel iseng ("mischief bell") because doorbells are seen as novelty for kids from poorer neighborhoods. Knocking doors maybe a bit unusual since people here often just hanging around in front of their houses with doors wide open during the day (unless you live in a gated community). I think the last time I saw kids doing this to my house was 8 or 9 years ago, I think kids nowadays prefer to play those tower defense games with their phones lol
  21. Yeah, now it would be banned in Indonesia if it was released with such title
  22. Pretty much the same in Indonesia, except you replace the drug dealer part with "coal/palm oil magnate" On the outside you see Nationalist vs Islamist battle but at the inside no one in the party really cared about any ideologies. For the upcoming election, we have some major parties partnering with their sworn enemies from the last 10 years... People who fanatically support a famous politician today must deal with their idol partnering with the son of their most hated rival politician
  23. @Olympian1010I just realized you mistyped the title of the Indonesian entry at the first page, now it says "Love and Transvestite" in Indonesian
  24. A television station that I've never heard before (Garuda TV) is broadcasting the Games for Indonesia. China obviously will broadcast from CCTV MeWatch and RTM will also broadcast the Games AIS Play links has been tested and confirmed working
