Yeah I'd say is better to make it like road cycling time trial with longer intervals and using a longer track. Maybe they have issues with the finish tower which is fixed in position, but that would be better than "here just watch a bunch of boats circling and do wait for us to sort the mess in the end"

I already have doubt the first time she pronounced Myanmar as "Mahn-yahn-mar" And surely ICF didn't give her the handbook for the pursuit rules because she thought the winners are based on the order of the boats crossing the finish line instead of the time to complete the 2000 m course (completely surprised when Spain won the bronze in the 2000m 8-seater)

Was watching freediving but suddenly heard a classical Chinese music, I thought this was to keep spectators entertained... but it's actually from the dragon boat competition session break Have to say that the sport is amazing, holding your breath while moving back and forth at the pool is unimaginable to me

Isn't the ICF sanctioned dragon boat always lacking in participation as compared to IDBF ones?

None of the Asian Games squad are there. But wouldn't it be weird if they send a weaker team in a home event? A news article in ICF shows that they only target 2 gold medals, which doesn't seem to be very ambitious

Really wondered what happened, in Asian Games they seemed invincible. Indonesia only won once and that's also with a few milimetres difference

Just learned that this is Myanmar's debut. Hopefully they grab medals at the dragon boat events before hibernating again

Just found out that Indonesia won't join the Games this time because the National University Sport Federation missed the registration deadline... They also revealed that they managed to miss the deadline in Chengdu but was still allowed entry lol
