  1. Lord, this is just awful watching at the moment. Every single snow-blower in Germany is mobilised for Eisinbichler’s jump. Going to be some big names eliminated early tomorrow....
  2. No way that this can go on, bottom of the hill is utterly trashed! 2nd Run cancelled, Vlhova. Private jet probably grounded, though.
  3. Lots of delays for those just logging in. Bormio Men’s DH delayed to Tuesday Bormio Super-G delayed to Wed Semmering Women’s Super-G 2nd Leg delayed by win for 15 mins.....not looking good though. Giant inflatable things coming loose from their moorings, heading off in the direction of Switzerland.
  4. There’s kind of a tradition of people coming in as the red-hot in-form favourite & flopping, though.
  5. The guys decided just to settle for an arm-wrestling & vodka drinking competition instead, then?
  6. That brief four-five day time of the year when the only live sport is cyclo-cross.
  7. Well, here in Lewis Hamilton won the official award, but I always think race drivers do only about 20% of the work. Tyson Fury was impressive, historically a British heavyweight has to be twice as good as his American opponent to win in Vegas. Otherwise I’d go for Theo Geoghan Hart for his improvised win in the Giro, but not really the strongest field by the end. Our best women overall did not get a chance to compete in their big events, so maybe Lizzie Deignan for some good World Tour wins, including La Course.
  8. Will be awarded tonight here in .
  9. Granerud the first to win 5 ski jumping WCs in a row & PBs for both , Boyd-Clowes 6th & Soukup 30th.
  10. Wierer’s ski speed a lot better today.
  11. Wow, Norwegians all mess up on the last shot!
  12. Norwegians all 5/5, Swedes all 4/5.
  13. Good news - Bobsleigh is back! Steven Shanwayne raced today in the WC two-man, obviously did not scale the heights but... Also one of the teams was running in a bob they’d borrowed from us . When it comes to two man Bob, we British owe Italy a debt we can never repay. https://www.olympic.org/news/nash-and-dixon-great-britain-s-golden-bobsleigh-duo
  14. How great is it to have John Morgan back on comms - at about 02:00 Lake Placid time. Somehow between them the FIL & the IBSF have managed to get his home studio man cave sorted out.
  15. An incredible achievement in the era. Another incredible achievement - Andrew Young is now Third in the Overall & Third in the Sprint World Cup rankings. Andrew Musgrave is now also third in the Distance rankings. I just cannot express how incredible these achievements are in the history of British sport. Sadly, 98% of British fans don’t know anything about it!
  16. Norway looking good already for the double... Wierer on a charge! Hanna Ö wins the last shoot!
  17. Very confident run for & Andrew Young in the semi.... for the Final. Rare victory for - Lauren vd Graaff has had a couple. SILVER!! . Just too bad that he had a broken pole & had to put in a big effort mid-race - otherwise I think he would have had enough in the tank to get past San Pellegrino.
  18. Yeah, Now you mention it, I’m not sure if there is a particular word.....just cover or plate, I think.
  19. Target. Cible.
  20. First good news of the morning is that they’ve adjusted the women’s downhill course to take away the killer corner where five ladies crashed yesterday. Goggia wasn’t happy with her run but it’s holding up so far....
  21. I remember with women’s ski jumping the first World Championships was absolutely farcical, so this is already better.
  22. Thought it was a bit much that several world-class skiers all crashed in exactly the same damn place.
  23. obviously have all the nation’s top mathematicians travelling on the private jet.
