  1. The average age of team in these championships are 17, majority of the team is athletes that participated at the European Youth Olympic Festival last month..

  17. 2023 The Ocean Race started in Alicante today with in-port race. This year it's very important for Lithuania, as it's a first time Lithuanian team is competing in the race. Lithuania represented by Ambersail 2 crew with the skipper Rokas Milevičius (2012 Olympics) who previously finished 2nd in Ocean Race with Dutch team back in 2015.

Multiple Olympic medallist Aliaksandra Herasimenia (swimming) was sentenced for 12 years in prison for actions against Belarus national security (which is in a nut shell - speaking badly about Mr. Lukashenko...) Herasimenia was not present during the trial as since 2020 left Belarus and is very active in neighbouring countries of Lithuania and Poland.
